Spa MINI.... What a concept.

Somewhere on NAM, someone put up a link to MINI.ca. I went to check it out and I find this service by MINI Canada. I like this idea. Maybe we can get Tate MINI to do this.

My local dealer offers the same service. I am not sure I will ever use it as I am a detail obsessed.

I wouldn't let ANY dealership touch my paint !

I spend too many hours with the PC buffer and Prima polishes to let some hack touch it with their cheap sponges and cotton towels.

I'll give Rose at MoT a lot of credit. Last month I took Dr Evil in there for a new roof and driving light install. Before she even saw my sign on the dash she took one look at the car and said, "You don't want us to wash that... do you ?".

Smart lady.

unless of course you have ultra-rare matte black Volks on your car and the guys at MoS cleaning the car overspray the tire shine onto the wheels a bit. To make it look 'good', they spray the whole wheels with tire shine. Umm, no....please never wash my car again (and we have mandatory water restrictions in Loudoun so this says a lot).

Evil's black paint sure reflects your dedication !

Which model buffer do you use ? I have some scratches (in the clear) and some fairly resistant swirls I would like to work out on Wensleydale's paint. Can you advise us how to do so.....maybe start a thread ?

Cheers,

Mike

Well, thank you for noticing, Mike !!

I use a Porter Cable, random orbital buffer, model 7336SP, availaible here:

And this thread should answer your questions about my process, but if you have any specific questions about any steps in the process, let me know.
