no!!!! I had EBC rotors all around with GreenStuff pads on my CRX. Curry's did the install. I had to replace them 4 months later....all warped through easy commuting miles.

I can get you some options for proper stuff if you really want to swap rotors.

On my second MINI and have spent less than $100 modding each. And yes, I'm quite proud of that. Tweaked them from the factory.

wait a minute, still adding...

$15,884.62

in summary:

H&R Coil Overs
Quaife
JCW
Webb Camber plates
Steel Brake Lines
A/C Delete
DynoMax work
Competition Rubber
Kosei K1 15x7 wheels
Corner weighting
Hotchkis Rear control arms

that's one reason why it's a keeper....

this year
Odyssey PC680 battery
More rubber

But what the hell - it pulls 1.1g in corners, and a new Ferrari cannot do that. I wouldn't trade either. Where the heck would I put the dog?

Do you have an MCS? How about JCW package? Pulley?

Most people get a pulley and a good ECU remap and tune.... as far as I know, there's only a couple people that can do it nationwide...RMW and Behe Performance

MCS is the Mini Cooper S which I do reckon you have - or else 217hp would be out of reach.

217 is plenty of hp for the car - have you decided what your goals are and/or what kind of driving or competition you intend to participate in?

To keep this thread on topic, may I suggest that you have a go at Search? There are numerous threads in the Drivetrain section of the forums that describe the variety of choices people have taken...if you do not find what you need, asking over there will get assistance.

Cheers,

Charlie

i've done a bit. kinda more than i had planned since i just wanted to have the factory installed jcw when i ordered her in '05. i think the best money spent was on suspension, tires, wheels. chip tuning was nice, too.

The biggest "mod" I've done is just new wheels for Buddha. $275.00 Finally got to put them on him tonite and try out his new Michelins! I don't consider the Michelins a mod - they were simply replacing the oh so bald runcraps. Much better ride!

The other mods are few: leather shift boot, e-brake handle and e-brake boot and padded leather door handle grabs. Paid $10 for the leather and sewed everything myself. Oh and a friend gifted me with a K&N airfilter plus collar to fit. So $0 there
Umm....

I do have the factory JCW kit at $6300 - does that count as a mod?

I'm thinking about tint though.....and doing leather downtubes myself... not sure what else right now

Does a helmet count towards the total? 'Cuz I way overspent my initial budget for a helmet

Edit: Now, since I got my helmet stolen a week after I bought it and replaced it already, I've overspent my helmet budget by 400%

Let's see:
JCW Suspension: $900 for parts + 300 for install
M7 brakes + Mintex Red Box pads: 700 with install
M7 strut bar: $200
Alta v2 Diverter: $180
Alta silicone intake hose: $100
Mini Madness Air Filter: $100
Mini Madness rear polyurethane bushings: $80
Helix Rear Seat Delete: $150
SportMax wheels + Falken Ziex tires $750 from Edge Racing

So we are looking at approximately $3300 more or less.
