[Sun, Sept. 9th 6pm] Union Jack's Surprise

Join us for a Union Jacks dinner and pool night. Any excuse to see all those lovely MINIs parked together and enjoying a wonderful dinner excuse to play some pool and hang with DCMM peeps! (And it is a SMOKE FREE!!! pub)

There will be a surprise...so the 'oldies' from DCMM better come!

For those who don't know, Union Jacks is a British Pub in Bethesda. There is FREE parking right down the street (parking garage) and we always park up on the top. It is a smoke free pub with good food, good ale, and really fun pool. Come on down to join in some fun and see the surprise!

It's too bad there isn't some sort of pre-dinner drive involved with this or something :(

LOL not all of our events have to involve driving. We're a social club too, you know!

Awesome - looking forward to it! Haven't been to UJs in a while, and the special bonus "surprise" is just one more reason. (not that we really need a good excuse for UJs... hehe)

I miss Union Jack's. I was just talking about it the other night with someone who was stationed at the hospital for a couple years as a Navy journalist. Hope y'all have an awesome time.

That's right in my neighborhood! I should be able to make it. I haven't been there in a while.

I think I am out on this....which really sucks because I was looking forward to the surprise (I know what it is too)....my sister is having some surgery and I am going to need to be there for her. Probably won't come back into town until Monday night, but if I do get back on Sunday I will be there.

We're planning on coming but I have to wait and see what work has in store for me. I have wanted to be more involved, especially the runs, but I can't pay for the old girl if I'm unemployed

We've been "down the Pub" many times but never th' Jack, a round of fish and chips and a good bitter would be just perfect

In the words of the best Oxford Detective, Morse, "There's always time for one more pint"

I'll make every effort and throw my boss every excuse !

Cheers - Mike

I always drove 40 mins to UJ's whenever there was a meet there, despite living on the opposite side of the beltway.

Then there were the 90 minute trips to Annapolis to go to Katies (yeah it was Katies - but still 90 minutes!), or the Clarks who would drive 90 minutes or so for board meetings and stuff in Virginia....
