Capital Driving Club will host an autocrossing event on Saturday, Aug 11th @ Harry Grove Stadium, Frederick, Md.

There will be couple of DCMM members participate the event. Get a chance to watch the GP competes with other race car. Really worth to check it out.

Fun to watch, and easy to join. Be there, sign up and you're in (if there are space available). Most likely we can make around 6 runs, 3 for am round and other 3 for pm round.

... but don't be disappointed if the GP is not doing too well... plus the driver (moi) is still recovering from the surgery ... (Monday I will be able to drive again and hopefully see GyPsy w/ her new stereo GPS !)

in any case on 8/11 we should be in MD and on the 18th in Manassass, VA, come bring a chair and a couple of $$ for hotdogs , it's a fun group.. a lot of S2000s, a group w/ intersting Scions and occassionally a Ferrari

I need to check with the local club first to see when our event is in Aug. If i can ill see about doing the one in Manassass. Even then since there on a Saturday. I may need someone to slap me around a bit to keep me awake and help with changing tires at the end of the event. Due to im working the friday Night from 7pm to 6 am then would be heading up there.

Oh if i do can i say im a Guess of a Member and either you Maxi.. or Lastrega i can say is that member =)

 

I think the second day is the test and tune. I hope to make it out for Sunday...we have our baby shower on Saturday. Many of my Subaru buddies will be there.....listen for one with straight cut PPG gears

 

I might try to join the test'n tune on Sunday as well.

 

It is an actual autox event not a school. You can go all-out. I'd love to see that.

By the way, I'm not a member yet. I'll register on the day though.

 

FYI Test and Tune is open to Members ONLY.

For the 8/11 event you can try to sign up as guest of a member (if necessary use my name Marina Martin as I am a member). It's not a school you drive your car and have fun.

I know that membership will re-open soon not sure when , but you can find out at the event.

Im looking more on the one for the 18th. I have a Race here in Richmond on the 12th im not going to do a Back to Back like that.

Weather looks promising, partly sunny @ 86 degree.

No luck on 16" set, will run on Work 18".

I heard that there might be some spots available due to last minute cancellation. Looking forward to see more of us MINI lovers there.

The first run should start around 9am. There are 4 heats.

 

Hey Maxi...noticed you were in Heat 3....about what time do you think Heat 3 would start?

Also, does it cost anything just to spectate?

And, did I misunderstand or is there going to be a GP in one of the heats?

 

I'm not sure the exact time for the heat 3. I would say around 10am.
Marina is in heat 4 with her GP.

Spectator is free, and there are some hotdogs, snack and soda for sale at reasonable price as well. Bring chair, hat and sunblock with you.
