New Mods (including new tire mod)

so on Tuesday i dropped my MINI off to get a few new things. I had her dropped an inch with some H Sport springs and a Madness Sway bar. So I picked her up and the car looks and drives great! I also had an update on my tune. Oh and i'm lovin that too!

I took her out yesterday. driving around she's great. hugs the road well, and goes around corners much better than before.:no d:

on the way back from the Kwik-E-Mart last night I had a "run-in" with a truck tire on 95. Most of the damage seems to be on the front bumper cover (there is a chunk missing out of the lower part of the bumper). There is also a panel that covers the underside of the motor that was hangin on the ground. Right foglight doesn't work. Large scuff on right rear wheel.

Maybe your next mod could be a rally light bar--that way, you could see those black alligators coming at you before they jump up and bite you!

Seriously though, I feel bad for you...always worse when it happens just after an upgrade.

Sorry to hear that. Fortunately, that it wasn't a bigger piece that you hit.
I hit a wooden box with my previous car , took off the right side of the front bumper and the right fender.
I know how you feel.

Btw, congrats on your new mods.

I feel for ya man. Exact same thing happened to me when I got off 295 onto 495.

Hopefully all will be well soon with no long term damage.

LDG loaner

As much as I enjoyed seeing Matt in the HHR, and by the way you looked right at home in that thing, We finally decided to put him in a ride that he deserved.

Sorry to hear about your encounter with the tire. You all are starting to freak me out with all the accidents I've been hearing lately. It's almost as if we care too much about our Minis and some supernatural power has honed in on that.

Question....why did you get an update on your LDG tune? Also, I thought John was out of the area (Miami or something like that)...I'm planning on bringing my Mini up there for a tune and miscellaneous installs as well.

He was, he left Friday afternoon. He'll be back in the shop tomorrow. Today he's at Summit Point shaking down the EVO. Hopefully his car and my ChaseCam setup come back in one piece.

I ended up getting the car dyno tuned. He was able to customize the tune a little bit more to get it more for my driving style.

and it ended up being great! he flattened out my torque curve to the point, it's not a curve anymore. And i'm loving it!!!

I should hope so. I'm probably the only person in MINI history (and future, most likely) who is crazy (read: stupid) enough to voluntarily choose to replace a perfectly good body wiring harness!

Glad that you've got Sylvia back, looking new as ever.
