I went to D.C. over the 4th of July and was amazed at how many MINI's there were. Didn't see any modded one's, but still....a TON of MINI's. It was cool to see. Is there a pretty big club at all in D.C.? Seems like there'd be a lot of members!!!! Very cool.
Our club has over 400 members. So yeah, there are LOTS of MINIs out there. You should have dropped us a line when you were in town, we could have made ANY excuse to get together with ya! Let us knwo next time you are back east our way

Second largest in the country I'm proud to say.
The # of MINIs is high because there are 3 dealerships in the DC Metro area, so the market is saturated here.

...and we still complain about not having a dealership "close in"...
but yeah, old town Alexandria and the neighborhoods around it are crawlin' with Minis...and most of them don't wave back. pl4ypl4y and defylogik are in the area, I know, but I don't think I've passed them on the street. I'll keep a lookout.

Another factor is that anybody who has tried to park anything larger than a MINI in Old Town, Alexandria, or in Georgetown (or anywhere in DC for that matter) is highly motivated to get a short car!
