My manual Justa Cooper is getting 37-39 mpg with me needing to fill every ten days or so.

The wife's auto Cooper S convertible is averaging 25-28 mpg with a fill-up every two weeks usually. Her commute to work is about 7 miles per day and mine is 30. And we usually use my car for our shopping trips since its trunk seems immense compared to the glovebox-sized area in the boot of her convertible.

Dang where do you get a $20 fill up? Would like that very much. Out here it's about $35. And my mileage is awful because I put my foot down all the time so no comment.

Best to specify...we are talking first gen MINIs here, right? With different engines, there can be a big difference between the two when it comes to mpg. Best to keep this apples to apples.

what the heck??? $20 a fill? and every 2 weeks even? wow man where do you live and what gas do you put in your car lol.

i get about 400 miles a tank, give or take 20 miles.
a few times i got 465 miles and 455 miles.
worse gas mileage i ever got was 300 miles with a tank.
i fill about 1 time a week, and i really drive my car to like 1/16th tank left hahah. i wanna get the most of what i pay for.

so if my math is right, my best mpg ever ever is 35.23 mpg and my worst is about 22.73. getting 400 miles per tank avgs out around 30.3 mpg.

Average about 31 MPG in my auto justacooper. Hardly any highway. I only fill up about once a month and only with 93 octane. Even when I think I'm driving like a madwoman, I can still get 30 MPG. It's weird.

My gas mileage is deplorable. I get on it at least once everytime i get in it, but regardless it is still bad i feel. I want to say like 225 a tank perhaps. Not positive but i think around that. Mostly city tho, and i am going to get an aligment done cuz i thin it may be affecting it. Does anyone else report horrible umbers like me?

I average 31mpg combined (calculated not OBC)

I have taken it to about 340 miles on a single tank.

I have an 06 manual. I live pretty close to work so I rarely get any highway miles in. I average around 22 mpg and I try to drive like an old grandma at times to save on gas.

Average 21-24 mpg (calculated). Have a 7 mile commute to work, about half highway. I drive with a lead foot and a big smile.

I average 23-24 MPG for my normal driving. I drive in mostly suburbs, so its not too much hiway driving. Plus Im almsot always driving relatively spiritedly. (Half pedal to the speed limit or a 5-10 above and then let off the gas) I hardly ever drive it like a grandma.

When I feel like ripping on it, like lately, its been about 21-22 mpg.

My '05 MCS is consistently 22 mpg, all city. I gave up trying to get good mileage, and just enjoy the ride.

Whats up with all the shitty R53 mileage?

I have no problem getting 30mpg, even beating on it once in a while.

I'm getting about 26-27 mpg in strictly suburban driving. No highway, but not "city" either. It was 23 mpg but went up after bigger injectors and a tune. Nice side benefit. Highway is 33-35 mpg (that went up too) depending on terrain (Western PA hills vs. OH flats) and speed. I'm going to the track Saturday. I love seeing something like 8.1mpg on the display.

06 MCS. With the A/C on, 25.2MPG. Without the A/C, 28.8MPG. That's driving 50/50, City/Highway.
