R50/53 How many mpg does your MINI get?
All hand calculated.
I get 17 to 18 MPG in the winter time and 20 to 22 MPG in the summer. I do strictly 80% city, 15% suburban and 5% highway driving; I live in the suburbs but I go to school and work within the city.
On our last local run, we did all suburban driving for the entire day and I get 26 MPG.

I truly have NO idea what I get for mileage... and I'm good with that!
Maybe one day I'll figure it out... but then there could be some pressure from the husband about changing my driving habits.
I will say this though... when people ask what mileage "we" get he always has some calculations that he spouts off. I usually laugh and mention something about how I never see numbers like that.
Just sayin'.
*Also, I'm in Florida and I never fill up for $20... it's usually right around $35!

i'm barely getting 22mpg ...(highway (25%)/street (75%))
and that's after I cleaned the intake filter.. when that thing was dirty, i was getting 20.4 consistently..

I never really gave it any thought. I use super only (I know different grades give different results, but, i like my full power potential)
and average about 275 miles per fill up. It lasts me about a week at $20. per fill up.
My other vehicles have been raised up 4x4 jeeps and classic ford p/ups that got between 8-10 mpg. (2-3 gal used per day minimum) So I am very happy with my current results.

I get about 28.8 over the life of the car. I've tracked from day 1 all gas put into car with the help of the web site below. Tracks all the miles, average, etc. So far I've filled up 190 times over the life of the car and have spent $6,245.99 for gas. A fun site and not expensive.
Have about 70K miles.

on my way to the dragon I set the cruise at 85 for the most part and I got 26 mpg, oh and did I mention my girl packed like we were going on a 3 hour tour with Gilligan and the Skipper?
33mpg
I have been getting an average of 33mpg on my last two tanks. A mix of around town and interstate driveing. I usually run 80/90mph on I-95 or I-4 so I don't get run over. It is a far cry from the 17/21mpg I was getting on my 98 Corvette. Plus the JCW is much more fun to drive.

i own u all. i kid you not. i fill up my tank ONCE A MONTH. averaging 25 mpg. and 280-350 miles every fill up. i fill up as soon as the light goes off.
reason is... i only use it for work which is 5 miles 1 way. i rarely go out on weekends...
no worries my cooper has had its share of roadtripping - from IL to NY and back, from IL to MN and back, from IL to iowa and back.... and more to come.
my odo reads over 13k.. bought it march 2007 with 13 miles on it... it is an 06 base.

Need to compute the mpg's the old fashioned way, as the computer is not known for real world accuracy.
The BMW/Mini Dealer claims I get 25.5 mpg, but I actually get 12.4 mpg
My gas mileage is deplorable. I get on it at least once everytime i get in it, but regardless it is still bad i feel. I want to say like 225 a tank perhaps. Not positive but i think around that. Mostly city tho, and i am going to get an aligment done cuz i thin it may be affecting it. Does anyone else report horrible umbers like me?
For over a year, I have had my 2006 factory JCW Cooper S in and out of the Dealer to find out why I am getting such poor mileage.
They had my car for 10 days and returned it last Monday. When I picked it up they told me all was well, and showed me that the computer indicated that the car was performing at 25.5 mpg. The repair manager told me that the problem had been caused by a cracked vacuum tube under the air intake box. I had told him about that tube when I dropped off the car, and also mentioned that I thought it could be a O2 sensor or ByPass valve. Well since I drove away, returning to my office, only 4.3 miles away from the Dealer repair shop, the car's computer was already indicating the car was delivering 20.6 mpg. Now, ten days and 45 miles later, the mpg is down to 12.4 (and falling, I assume).
So the first question is: How did the Dealer get the computer to read 25.5 mpg when I picked it up?
Of course the second question is: what's wrong with the car to provide such poor mpg?

Are you actually getting 12mpg or is your computer just sayong you are getting 12mpg?
Well, up until now, I have always confirmed the mileage with a useful application on my iPhone, and the computer has always been pretty close to the actual, within say .5 mpg. So while I have not checked yet (I'll need to fill it up and check after half a tank or so), I assume it is still accurately giving out readings.

wow, if it is accurately getting 12mpg theres obviously a major problem that I would think the dealership would easily be able to identify.
Please keep us up to date on what you find out.
it is possible that they could not figure out the problem and just told you everything was ok just to get out of it. i would hope that not be the case, but you never know.
