usually right around 20.5 with no highway driving. and to youngsota, i have been in the 12 -14 range a few times. i usually try to drive "easier" the second half of the tank and get back to about 17 or 18 by the time it's empty.

so between 12 and 28 it is fun to fill up and see how poor of mileage I can "attain". lol

 

With my base 5-spd '05 Cooper, I used to average 24 to 26 mpg when living in New York City. Now that I've lived in rural Massachusetts for the past two years, I'm disappointed when I get less than 30 on any given tank. I usually average about 31 to 32 mpg, with some as high as 34 mpg.
