BMW rims

I needed winter tires on rims, not much choices around locally where I am but a local place has a lot of selection of BMW replica rims so I got them to test fit an M3 replica rim and it works very well. No rubbing issues, no need for hub rings or spacers. I drove around with the weight of my stock 18's on the back with no problems.

So, for those wondering, there is your answer. M3 replica rims fit.

Rim specs:
Size - 17 x 8
Offset +35
PCD - 5 x 120
HUB - 72.6

Tire size: 225/50/17

Specs and pics attached.

I have the All4 with the Sport Package.

Interesting look, I like it. I might like it more in an 18 with less meat on the sidewall.

Thanks yetti. They're for winter tires. I'd rather have the sidewall when tackling ice/snow ruts. My stockers are already 18"s. Saves me a bit of money by going down in tire size to 17's.

Rims.

Looks nice. Care to share how much you spent on the rims. Did you install tire sensors? Thx.

CDN$153/rim

CDN Countryman don't have the physical TPMS sensors on the wheels. It figures out if it has the flat based on rolling diameter.

Looks great and that's a good price for a nice looking rim.

Well that makes more sense now. I didn't even look to see where you were from and being from South Florida I am ignorant to he fact that it snows in places. We have a high of 82 today .

Nice find Youthanasia. I've been trying to locate some decent Winter Rims for the new CM. Quick question, in the front view photo, the tires almost look like they are coming out of the fenders, have you found that they new wheels kick more road slop onto your car than the stock set?

It's flush from the top. I opted for the 225 width tires to stay closing to my stock rolling diameter. If you get 205/50 size, it should bring it in a bit more. I'm not worried about road slop, it's a fact of life in the North. Not even mudflaps save your sides.

Even my stock 18's kick off a bunch of dirt on the side (as you can see from my pic, from just a few days of rain). Just stems from the the curvy-ness of the front fenders.

I have some e90 take of installed also - I kind of like they poke out a bit - gives a nice squat appearance to the car

A friend warned me that it may put some additional load on the wheel bearing but I can not imagine it would be to great - Any thoughts on that ?

I won't worry about it. We're not running these the whole year. Subaru STI's and Legacies have run +35 to +40 offset rims as well, coming from a very high offset.

That being said, I wouldn't recommend going beyond +35. It is pretty flush on the front fenders with 225 width tires. Also, I wouldn't recommend this route if you plan on lowering your car in the future (which I don't).
