Attention all Mini owners: please join us for our next drive tooooo, Canaan Valley, Davis and Thomas WV. The date is: Saturday, May 25th. I know this Memorial Day weekend, but I'm thinking the Canaan Valley area might be hopping and what better way to show our club spirit than to have a bunch of Minis all lined in a row!

So I need some feedback please. Anyone that is interested, could you please let me know? Meeting spot to be determined. Hope to be on the road by 9:30 am.

We might have an alternate date of Saturday, May 18th. So which ever date is best, let me know as soon as possible. There will be an afternoon show at the Purple Fiddle at 1:00. It's a cool place to sit and relax while being entertained.

May 18th is definitely out for me. As far as I know Memorial Day weekend should be okay unless a family thing messes with the plan. In relationship to Uniontown, PA where is Canaan Valley?

 

I can't make May 18 - last day of lacrosse. May 25 is looking good so far. I am so ready for a drive with the group.

 

Dragonfly: Canaan Valley is part of Tucker County in WV. You can search on Thomas, WV for some mileage ideas. It is about 100 miles from Fairmont due southward. There will be some photo ops at the large wind turbines that line the ridges in that area. Breathtaking to say the least. We generally leave from Bridgeport, WV so you could come straight south on I-79 and meet us there. Hope this helps. It looks like we have three Mins going at this point. Hope you can make it. I intended to join in the fun up until tonight but now I have the tell tale signs of a cold coming on. I think I was in that cold wind too much the last couple days. Next time.

 

Wow, we had such a great day of driving the WV twisties to Thomas, WV. This weekend was special bc of the Arts and Crafts Fair going on there through the Memorial Day weekend. There was music everywhere and we took in a free concert at the Purple Fiddle. It was a good day for a jacket and scarf as they had called for some snow last night!!!

All in all, two couples and a single driver took it all in for a 200 mile round trip. Now that's a good day.
