Hey Everyone! Good day! The second meeting of Country Roads Minis will take place on June 30th in Bridgeport, WV at 10:30 a.m. We will meet at Almost Heaven Desserts located on Main Street in Bridgeport. It's a great coffee shop that serves all kinds of sandwiches, sweets and drinks.

We had our last meeting there in May of this year and it was nice meeting new people. We talked about some drives and we all know WV has some great places to drive. So for this very first club drive, be thinking of someplace that we could all drive to that's somewhat close to our starting point. This will allow us to see how we all "behave" driving in a Mini convoy!

I would love to see a great turnout--rain or shine--for this meeting. The last meeting produced three great Mini Coopers, so this time I'm hoping for ten. Remember, this is a very informal club w/no heirarchy. We are all on the same level; we just love our Mini Coopers. So hope to see you all there rain or shine with your Cooper. We'll talk about upcoming drives and places to go. So put your thinking caps on. Please PM me if you have any questions. Until then, drive the Twisties like you own 'em!

 

My "navigator" and I plan to be there. I'm sure we can come-up with a drive of reasonable length through beautiful countryside over a cuppa!

Count me in!! I invited a couple MINI owners that I know, so I hope we get a long line of MINIs going on this drive.

For consideration, I did come-up with an idea to travel US 50 - WV24 - US 219 - WV 32 to Davis and stop at Siriani's for pizza. One way the drive would be about 65 miles from Bridgeport.

Along the way, there would be a interesting group photo opportunity at the Smallest Church in 48 States at Silver Lake.

Again, just an idea for group consideration. We can make it longer, shorter or start anew.

Here is an idea too: how about a drive to the Forks of the Cheat Winery? The lady there said they have light snacks oc cheeses, salami, fresh bread and more on Saturdays! Might be a nice shorter drive so we could all talk and visit more. Of course the drive to Canaan is a good one too. I really think this is going to be sooooo cool

Friday won't work for me, but I might be able to talk my navigator into a T&L hotdog sometime. We used to drive all the way to Shinnston to find them...great sauce!

 

Sounds pretty sweet. Because I am recovering from having a kidney removed due to cancer a few weeks ago, I'm still getting back in the saddle. If we in fact do a drive this Saturday that will take most of my energy I fear. I think when we all gather Saturday we all will get excited over some upcoming events and drives. I for one am really looking forward to seeing everyone at the coffee shop.
