Is there a membership process for joining Country Roads? If so, would someone point to the link or thread?

Glad you found us Greg.

We're pretty informal here... so just by asking about the membership
process... you've effectively joined <g>.

With the fall months gearing up and winter fast approaching, the club
seems to have gone into somewhat of an early hibernation.

We're a new group.... not real big yet... but hope to grow in the future.

I'm not sure who alls located down your way. I know BCSki is located in
Snowshoe... and there were a few others down his way.

I'd recommend you read thru old threads here on NAM , (And in our part
of it) and use that to figure out who's who.

We've had a couple fun runs this summer. (Ok... in fairness one and a half),
but look forward to more come spring.

There's a great bunch of MINI owners here in WV... I think you'd enjoy
meeting them.

Welcome aboard... and I look forward to talking to you more in the future.

(Oh.. almost forgot... have you named your MINI yet? It's not required...
but adds to the fun of owning one. Mine's named Petronius after a character
in a Science fiction novel... a cat of all things <g>.)

welcome aboard! id tell you to buy one of our shirts, but MINI tried to sue me lol....not really...they just took them down from cafepress... ida love to have done a nice fall foliage run, but it never seemed to happen...everyone was busy

 

Why did they want the shirts taken down? The colors were pretty good this year, a good drive would have been great. Too bad work always seems to get in the way of fun.

 

blah, BMW/MINI said it infringes upon their copyrights/tradmarks. mainly because the name MINI on the shirts. the altered logo and image of the car are not really a problem. simply using MINI in the club name is the big infringement issue. We knew this would probably happen, but they stayed up long enough for everyone to get their initial orders in.

 

I read the post about membership in Country Roads MINIs being very informal. The wife and I are very interested in joining and would like to get involved in any functions.

Let me know what we need to do.

We are in South Charleston...not too far from Huntington. Give us a shout. Maybe we can do a run somewhere.

 

there is another thread just below this one about getting a run together. be sure throw some ideas out there for us.

 

Is this group still active? Looking for organized Mini activities in the WV area to be part of. I recently purchased a 2003 and have just started the modifications on it.

 

Barely still active but it would be nice to get things going again

 

I just purchased my first MINI - a 2009 Cooper S Convertible and I LOVE it:-) I live in Proctorville, OH which is just minutes from Huntington, WV and was interested in finding out how to get involved with a club in the area.

As you can see Country Roads has been a little quiet lately. We did have a meet-up in Bridgeport early in May with the hope that more activities will be scheduled down the road. There was some discussion of meeting in Flatwoods. Keep an eye on forum for updates.

Congratulations on your new MINI! I've had mine since February and have enjoyed every mile. Just passed the break-in period and can now "open it up" a little...uh, more. Hope you enjoy the long weekend with your top down!

 

Hi. As John mentioned, we had a great meet and greet in Bridgeport, WV in May. I believe as time goes on a bit, we will see more owners coming to our meetings and drives. Look in July for some new updates about meetings/drives. A fall drive is on the schedule for sure probably to Canaan Valley. Good luck with the new Mini and get a name for her.

 

Hi to all WV Mini owners. Yes, we did have a nice little start up meeting back in May. I had the bad experience to learn that I had kidney cancer. So on June 1st, they removed the right kidney and the prognosis is good. So I hope to be back on this board again in force by July 1st. Need some time to recover.

I think the late summer and fall are going to produce some great drives here in North Central WV. Most likely, maybe the weekend before July 4th, we can hold another informal meeting and talk about some drives and get togethers.

Watch the top of this board for new information in the upcoming few weeks. I promise you it will be a fun time, very informal and packed with ya'lls great ideas.
