93 Octane in Omaha?

Ok - this is probably a stupid question, but last night (Wednesday 4/30) on the news, they were doing a story about how some gas pumps are pumping less/more than what is on the display.

Anyway, I noticed that the pumps the news crew was standing in front of was displaying 93 on the "Premium" grade fuel button. My question for the Omaha folks - What station was that?

As a side note, I hope its not one of the pumps they were talking about that only dispenses 3 gallons for every 5 paid.

Odd....1 year and 9 days ago I asked this very question: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ad.php?t=98878

I did find the story at WOWT.com, but the link is dead and it appears as though they pulled the story.

You can still read the article by searching for "Gas Pain: Some Pumps Give Less Than Indicated" and look at the cached version. Unfortunately the video associated with the story has been pulled as well.

If anyone caught this (or knows which station it is) please share.

Just as a side note, I remember a story (a very long time ago and it may have been before the digital pumps came about, OK I'm dating myself), there was a way the gas stations could get around the inspections. They had some board they could install that would dispense exactly 5 gallons at the 5 gallon mark but less than 5 gallons or more than 5 gallons it would dispense less gas than registered. This was to get around the inspections since they always dispense 5 gallons for the test. I don't know if this is still a possibility but just be aware of the possibility. So if you are putting 15 gallons of gas into a 13 gallon gas tank, I would question it.

I still had 50 miles to go until empty on my Cooper and I thought it was strange that I had to put 12.5 gallons in to fill it up. The tank is only 13.2

Ok - I found some 93 Octane. It is available at the Philips 66 on 60th Between Pacific and Center. It is 93 Octane - E10.
