Iowa MINIs heading your way
Hello, Neighbors!
A group of Iowa MINIs will be in Omaha on October 6. It would be fun to meet some of our Cornhusker friends. The Omaha leg of our trip will be:
Meet up will be at the Heartland of America Park and Fountain, downtown around 5 PM. We'll enjoy taking photos, sharing stories, and relaxing. Dinner will be at the Spaghetti Works around 7 PM in the old market area. On Sunday we're planning breakfast at the Cracker Barrel in Omaha at 9:30 AM, followed by a drive through the “Wildlife Safari”.
We'd like to meet any of you who can stop by!

We're meeting in the parking lot off Riverside Dr., which I think is the location you mentioned. We're taking the scenic route from Des Moines and meeting the MINIs who left on Friday, so we expect to be there around 5 on Saturday. We don't go to dinner until 7, so we should be there for awhile. Hope to see you.

I just thought of something: I have a hasing event Saturday afternoon that will last most of the day, but the great thing is, it's also out at the Lewis and Clark Landing, and there'll be a chili cookoff, so this might be a double-whammy for me, which would be ideal.
If that's the case, I hope to see some of you out there.

Consider yourself welcome from the Kernel of CORN. I am sure the rest of the CORN nuts will welcome a Kansas MINI.
See everyone tomorrow.
Just a check how many CORN folks will be meeting the Iowa folks?
Here is what I think we have thus far

Well, the weather for tomorrow shows "periods of showers and thunderstorms", but let's not let that stop us from getting together. Although it's been a few years since I've been through the Wildlife Safari - I do remember that it's not exactly paved. So if we do have some rain early tomorrow, after breakfast Jim had the idea of taking the same exit and checking out the SAC museum.
Hope to see more of you tomorrow morning - with all of the Iowa MINI's, we will put on quite a show just parking together.

Sorry I couldn't make it tonight. I took my RX-7 out for a spin and brokedown and since I really don't know anyone here yet and my wife was at the concert downtown, I didn't have anyone to call. I had to hoof it home and get my trusty Mini. I did actually make it downtown around 7:20 but everything was so packed I didn't know where to look. Hopefully the wife will let me meet you guys for breakfast. Hope to see you there.
