next mod...

So, I've been trying to figure out which modification I want to do next.. so I thought I would ask yalls opinion.

the options...

1.megan header
2.TB (not sure what size for the most power/response.. opinions welcome)
3.cam (I know I know, it "supposedly doesnt do much without the ported head)

The plan is after I get those modifications I will do a port and polished head and ecu.

so what order should I do them in between the three?

thanks!

Definitely upgrade your header first.

Save labor $$$ and upgrade the cam when you get your head p/p.

I made the mistake back in 2004 and purchased a $400 Mini-Mania enlarged TB...With my mods at the time (pulley, intake, exhaust), if it made any difference at all, it was a negative one. I ended up taking it off and selling locally to a friend with a differently modded MCS.

honestly, you money on the throttle body would be better spent on something else. They make such a small difference in power (1.8whp on a MCS) that its really not all that worth it.

Same as above. Check into a good quality header.

I have heard from some sources that the TB does absolutely nothing. An increase in 2 or 3 mm will have almost no effect. Im pretty sure more air can flow through the standard throttle body than the amount of air that flows through the filter haha.

Im in the same situation, I think I am going with header and possibly cam. The stock header is essentially pinched where the four tubes join to one.

Yea i was looking at that,to sell it i would prob have to replace with the original header as the Borla has the perfect sound on it's own for everyday driving,i've had it on for 3 yrs and it's on the button for me,how much more noise does a header create?? and would i need to remap the MTH?I was also looking at a set of those new Koni FSD shocks anybody using them.I dont want to go into the engine because of the need to sell it at some point,so sticking with external boltons that work. Thanks for the replys keep it coming.
P.S it's getting a stage one clutch pretty soon, and of the mods i have the remap sway bar and tires made the most difference.Intake and exaust make nice sounds but not lots of power but still cool mods.

I hear ya on the Borla. I love mine and am 100% satisfied with both quality and sound. The header will probably make it a bit louder but it won't be unbearable. With it, combined with the exhaust and I'm assuming you have some form of intake, you'll see a decent gain in torque. For maximum results and best in the end driveability, get it remapped. As far as Konis, a lot of people have the FSD's and really love them. They go great with OE springs or even TSW springs if you wish a little drop. Let me know what you go with for a clutch and how that works out. I've been looking and thinking about them myself, lately.

Well i was really looking at a clutchmasters clutch but have a girlfriend who's a flt attendant flying around with a empty suitcase full of carparts,so ended up buying a set of poly bushes(engine and gearbox) along with a Helix stage one clutch as it was available at one place Lohen UK,ya cant be beggin and choosin too .Ill post what the clutch is like when installed, going to drive on this one til it's duff and in the meantime collect parts so when i do i'll fit everything up at once.Lookin at the FSD's and header for future trips lol recon she's gonna kill me when she hears that.
