>>Hi Randy. This is my very first posting, anywhere. For starters I want to thank you for being so generous with your time and knowledge. Your opinions and how-to's are very useful and much appreciated. Regarding this new induction setup, it looks a bit like the Pipercross Viper concept. Is it only for the Cooper, not the S? It looks sufficiently "self-contained" that the airbox (cowling) modification would not provide any benefit in a Cooper S application.

Welcome to MCO, DeMinimus!!! Wow, I'm impressed. Most folks make their first post on general topics. You jumped into the heart of MINI talk, the nitty gritty of Cooper concerns. Sounds like you'll fit right in here.

Dan, you are incredible. It's raining and you still got out there and took pics of your 5speed. I'm opening another browser so I can put our pics side by side

I thought HARMINI's pic came off the JCW site or something! How do you keep it that clean???

I also have over 13,000 miles on this little beast...

My baby only has a little over 2K on her. I suppose after another 11, mine will look EXXACTLY like Dandp's. I have never cleaned the engine compartment (yet).

hmmmm...
It looks exactly the same to me. Maybe the difference is what we can't see (-i.e. under the airbox) and maybe the depth of the airbox is less on the CVT?

I've taken the airbox off of my 5 spd, and replaced it with a Pipercross viper intake and now there's more free space on that side. (The transmission housing is right below the airbox.) The engine even seems to be running a little cooler with the empty space for air from the cooling fan to flow around the transmission housing and where the orig airbox used to be.

Now we have a "before" intake install picture of both engines. Once we do the dual intake job, we can do exact "after" photos of them together in real life. Luv it!!!!!!

Keep the Cooper love coming our way Randy

That's very funny, because I have an appointment @ Helix on April 3rd to have them put one of their exhausts on HARMINI and I was seriously thinking about getting their wires at the same time. Should I pick up an extra set for you, dandp?

Give us a full review of your test drive when you get back. I'd like to hear your opinion of their exhaust compared to your Rogue.

Hey Harmini,

Tell us how you like the Helix exhaust after it's in. I have it as no. 1 on my list when "Drago" get's here. Curious to see what you think, power, sound, quality.

Thanks
Robb
