Exhaust Question for NAM Cooper Modders

All NAM;

Does anyone know the exact diameter of the stock exhaust pipe just before the muffler ? (ID / OD if possible).

Going the custom exhaust route for modding the MCa...want to stub in a Magnaflow Univ. fit muffler....

I'm pretty sure the I.D. is 2.25" and the O.D. is ~2 3/8". I have an OEM header here, sans cat and that's what I measured...

Plan on hanging the Magnaflow Univ. 11132 up in that tiny space of a well soon....will post pictures when done...

I suppose it is possible, but in about 99% of the vehicles and exhaust systems I've seen, exhaust diameter is always measured as OD, and accessories (like mufflers) are measured as ID, so the two fit nicely together. 2 3/8" OD would be a very non-standard size.
