I think I broke it - In a TOTAL PANIC

Hello all.

I am in a total panic and I am not sure what to do.

I was installing the LED Day time running lights. Lights are in, bumper back on.

I am in the foot well and wiring it in to pin 12. Not working. Do some research and find that the diagram is wrong and that you need to put in pin 12 of the TOP BACK set, not the bottom back set.

Go in correct the mistake, patched the little wire ***** I made on the wrong pin, and move it to what I think is the correct wire.

Test them out. WORK. BUT, when I turn the car off with the headlight indicator in 0 I get a YOUR LIGHTS ARE ON Warning. So I give up. I go back into the foot well and undo the wire. Leave it hanging tucked in. Patch the little hole on the new wire.

Now the car is all batsh*t. The headlighs always stay on, even with DRL tuned off and the stick set to 0 meaning no lights. When I turned if off I still get the "you have lights on" warning. I can turn the right turn signal on but not the left.... I am freaking out... any way to "reset" the car?

did you have the battery disconnected when you were 'playing' with the wires?

I guess I have borked the programming. Going to have to take it to the dealer to reflash.

try leaving the battery disconnected for 30 minutes then re-connect

sometimes this works as sort of a 'hard re boot'

The blinkers came back, but it still thinks the headlights are on in all modes on the ****. I get the error to turn the lights off when it is not running.

:(
