Non S to S Gas Cap Conversion
Non S to S Gas Cap Conversion
I bought the S Chrome Gas Cap conversion for my JustaClubman. I need to have the ring painted to Pure Silver, but when I did the search, I was only able to find comprehensive instructions for the 1st Gen Cooper. Does anyone know if DIY instructions exist for the 2nd Gen? Thanks.
Well, I did it with the Gen 1 instructions... was kinda a pain in the rear. In the end I'm still glad I did it though.
I didn't take the wheel off, just jacked it up to make some room to remove the liner. After that it seemed pretty obvious to me, just played around with it until I got it off.
Only problem I ran into the locking mechanism got stuck in the body panel... so i spent 30 minutes trying to fish it out...
Like I said, despite it being a pain and taking probably close to 2 hours, I'm still glad I did it. I like having a gas cap that is unique.
