So I have seen many Just-a-Cooper Minis out in the street with standard (non-Honey comb grille) the same color as there Mini and the outer frame still chrome. Was this painted or can you order it front the dealer already painted? How does this work? I have a OxyBlue MC and want to get the top inner gille the same color as my mini and keep th e frame chromed. Any help would be great, part numbers, price, etc. Thanks, i have attached example.

 

You get the colored grille if you get the factory aero kit. If you look you can see that the car in your pic has a different front bumper and the fender arches are also painted.

You could go to your local paint shop and get it painted OB. Depending on the dealer they may be able to paint it for you too, but I bet it would cost a whole bunch.

 

I actually want to buy the factory aero kit for the Mini as well, so if i but it after the fact i already have my MC will it come with it? If so painted? Or is this a preorder with preorder MC purchase? Just want to clarify. Thank you for everyones help.

 

I'm not positive about that one. But I think if you buy it after the fact, the aero kit doesn't come painted, just primed. So it may not come with the grille you might have to just paint yours. But again I'm not too familiar with that.
