Exhaust questions?????

I've been looking at a lot of exhaust for my 09 R56. I have found a few but still wanting to know a few things before i dish out the money for them.
Is it possible to use the 1st gen exhaust on a 2nd without a lot of mod's to the exhaust? I'm in Spain and its kind of against the law to really do to mod's performance wise to your car like exhaust. So i dont want to go to shop to do it. I've been looking at the underside of a lot of the 1st gens and they seem to have all the same bends as mine does. And is there a difference between the mounting flange between the two models? I would ask a vendor these questions but kinda skeptical to do so with how i've been told wrong before just so they can make a sell. any suggestions? I've been looking at the MagnaFlow and Bolra. I did order a Megan but due to shipping they couldnt and returned my money.

Is there a reason behind this? what's the difference between the two? Is it different specs?

thanks still for the help. i've been looking into it and i can say yes that it can be done due to the bends and mounting brackets being the same but i want to know if there are any spec reasons to it.

I'm not completely sure, but I think I've read that it won't work.

You might be able to find a cheap one in the NAM marketplace if you don't want to spend too much not being sure.

Some muffler/exhaust shops could make a completely custom exhaust for you. For example, you can buy a new muffler and resonator, take it to Monro, and have them weld and bend the pipes to make a perfect fit to the car. The muffler/resonator might cost a bit depending on what brand you buy, but places like Monro usually charge about $150 (at least around here) for the piping and labor to make it all fir for you.

Just my $0.02

thanks man i've been thinking of that actually but out here in Spain it kinda sucks cause there are regs on exhaust, glad that my car doesnt have to meet them but still have to worry about a shop not wanting to do it still.
