Where can I find info on the issues presented by the valvetronic system? I’m to the point if it’s not insane I’ll get a custom set made

I'd love a pair of spicy cams. I'll take two sets if you ever have them made.

I’m about $19k invested into my base. Got it with 176k and now sits at 226k. 60k mile engine/trans went in Oct. 2024, complete suspension over haul Koni FSD’s, red JCW springs, thiccest H&R sways I could buy and powerflex polys in all bushings, Racing Dynamics catless header, 2.25” exhaust with authentic Mugen resonator/muffler (I call it rice pudding) and a stage 1 tune from @Detroit Tuned. As much love, money, sweat and cuss words as I’ve put into it I’m down to invest $3-3.5k in a custom set of cams just to have something different. I don’t care if it’s faster than an S after all of it

I wasn’t aware that tunes are available for the naturally aspirated DME. I just run a Sprint Booster to correct the throttle signal and gave up on trying to trick the secondary O2 with spacers.

@All4 i found this website which I think looks like a pretty clever workaround on the CAT issue if you want to go catless without a tune

https://www.minicatalizador.com

I just went to install mine but of course I have a clearance issue because of where the bung is welded. Yes I have my dme tuned to ignore 0420 but I thought it would be interesting to try this out since it’s only $35ish

We do tune the Gen 2 Cooper for the B-Spec guys. They get a nice bump but NA cars are not going to see HUGE gains like the S does. Dyno Chart here: https://www.detroittuned.com/gen-2-e...ne-management/ (scroll)
Cam's are not used in any of the variable valve timing cars as they car can be adjusted in tunes by just advancing things quicker, different, ect. cams can only be used on N14's

Am I reading the numbers on that chart correctly?? 170whp/140wtq seems like A LOT to expect from my N12. What parts is that B-Spec car running?
