Enkei GF1 on Sale at DiscountTire.com
Hello everyone,
Just wanted to let you know that www.discounttire.com is having a sale on the 17x7 Enkei GF1 Silver powder coat with a glossy finish and a machined lip for $75 each. A set of 4 with the install kit (hubcentric rings and lug nuts) and valves is right at $358 delivered (free shipping). The 18x8 GF1 weighs only 18 lbs each so these wheels won't be any heavier.
I'm still two months away from delivery of my Cooper but I couldn't pass up this price so I ordered a set. I have no affiliation with Discount Tire but I have ordered from them before with good results.
Now that I have mine I figure it's safe to tell everyone else about the sale Anyone want to buy my 16" Bridge-Spoke wheels with all-season tires with 80 miles on them in a couple of months?
Here's the direct link to the wheels : http://www.discounttiredirect.com/di...100&vid=013136

Nice! My only complaint is that you'll have to deal with 4 empty lug holes like in the picture. That said, for the weight, brand, price and look of this wheel, it's one heck of a deal.
By the way, you'd be better off posting this here, and your tires/wheels for sale here. Just click the red and white triangle next to your initial post and a moderator should move it for you. Then make a new post for the wheels/tires and you're in business.
Best of luck on your new MINI's arrival!!!

I'm in the same boat, wifey got me a set of these for Christmas but I don't get the car for about three more weeks. The wheels look great though and Discounttiredirect got them to me here in Germany within 7 days of ordering, which is almost unheard of through the APO system.

They come up for $97 on the discount tire site.

ajakeski,
Click on the direct link to the tires in the first post, it still comes up $75. On your link it comes up $97 so it is a pretty good sale.
As for the extra holes in the rim, man those are lightening holes to make the wheel lighter

I have these wheels & paid around a $1000 for them a while back:impatient I should note with tires. Anyway they have held up quite well, and I later removed the center caps & painted the polished centers to match the rest of the wheels. Looking to upgrade soon though, too hard to clean & a little too busy in my opinion, still searching for a wheel that I like.

They're not cheap wheels. A lot of roadracers run Enkei wheels--that's why they're so light. These are not bargain basement wheels. Too heavy? The lightest 17 inch wheel for the Mini I've seen is 15 lbs. I'm not sure how much these wheels actually weigh, I only know that the 18 inch GF1 weighs 18. I run Enkei RPF1's on my track car and they're quality wheels.

Hey man don't mind the haters, regardless of style which is a personal preference thing anyway. Multiple holes helps keep the cost down (more than 1 bolt style), weight too . Lots of factors affect wheel choice, as Jahmills stated even cleaning can be an issue, I just ordered a set of 18" and your wheels were cut from my list purely on the cleaning issue as I usually wash my car twice a week sometimes more due to weather. You got yourself a great deal, a reasonable weight, kind enough to pass on the info and posted a pic! If we all bought the same wheel how boring would that be?. Thanks and enjoy
