STOLEN !, race Mini & trailer

STOLEN Mini ALERT
West coast racer Fred Comes had his enclosed race trailer with his Classic Mini inside stolen from a storage lot in Las Vegas.
The Mini is a MK2 Cooper S, Island Blue with Snowberry White roof. This is a race car that has just been restored. Full race engine, trans, cage, seat, dash, ect. The car is very clean. We have assembled this webpage with what pictures we have right now. http://www.heritagegarage.com/3/
At the bottom of the page is a picture of the trailer. It is in the background behind the people. It is not very detailed but it is all I have currently.

Please report any sightings to minis@heritagegarage.com and call the Las Vegas Police.

It's back !!!!

The car has come home !, A happy ending

"This is a long overdue thank you to all those who helped in the recovery of my mini. Long story short the car and trailer, with all equip, was stolen from a "Secured" lot in Las Vegas. This car had just undergone an almost year long renovation. I presumed the car was gone, in the desert, in mexico, wherever.
I recieved a call 8 months later from Doug at Heritage, He thinks that a tow yard found my car.... holy s..t! I went to the yard and there was the car, as pristene as the day it was stolen. No trailer, no equipment, but there was the car. I gave it a hug.
The car had been brought to the yard inside a different stolen trailer. As the car has no plates or vin (at that time) it is unbeliveable that the car came back home.
The mechanic at the tow yard (who races motorcycles) knew that someone would be missing the car. He was talking with a friend at a machine shop who said he should call Phil Hayes in Pahrump who knows all about Minis. Phil called Don Racine, Don Racine called Graham at Heritage and there it is, car returned.
Again to all those who helped, Thank you.

I love how miniacs around the world come together to recover classic minis. Did they ever catch the blokes who knicked it?

I'm so glad it was recovered!

Just goes to show...a Mini and its owner are destined to be together.

Wow, I'm so glad to see this turned out alright. It's so rare that a story like this actually ends happily.
