I love the ramp! A Rube Goldberg do-what-you-gotta-do arrangement.

Looks like a good starter Mini. love the transport. You have to love a car that fits in the back of a U-haul

We "borrowed" a loading dock to get it in there. I don't know what they did in Oregon to unload.

I fit mine into the back of an enclosed landscaping trailer. There was just inches to spare on either side. I had to climb out of the drivers side window, and out the side door.

K series sub frame with K20A motor / 3.47 final drive / AC / adjustable front and rear suspension / quarter tubbed / superbrake / flip front / walnut dash / walnut door caps / chipped Hondata ECU / limited slip differential / air horns / billet motor mounts / tilton race pedal kit / 7 x 13 super light wheels / fender flares / (4) 7" headlamps / roll bar / arm rest / rear fog light / auto meter gauges / and a cool rear view mirror that has temp, direction, auto dim and garage door opener...all painted one tone black with tan interior...waiting is both fun and maddening.

They have quite the following. While I wait for a possible start date.....

***eyeballs meno***

I have spoke with quite a number of shops, they all seem to want to get all the stuff from Mini Tec, and they all seem to want to ask Mini Tec how to do everything.

It's a hard decision currently, I have a good shop in the MINI club down here in Florida quoting near the same price. I am really torn between the rock solid reputation of Mini Tec that I will have to ship my car for, and a reputable local shop here that is involved at least on the MINI end of things down here.

I was wondering why you chose the K series motor. It seems beyond a certain point all we will do is spin wheels. Is it's high end that much better? I am not a Honda guy, lol.

Truth be known, I have little wisdom about Honda motors.

Perspective: My parents met and married in Germany so throughout my life I've gone there for visits and such. Minis were a deep seeded favorite for me so now in my thirties when I saw the opportunity to have Honda reliability in a Mini skin, I couldn't believe it could be so. Couple that perspective with past experience with cars I've owned and enjoyed, namely my Scirroco and Grand National. For the early eighties and a high school budget, I don't think I could have had a more fun car however I am haunted by how lacking the accerleration was. My Grand National was, despite new paint and bling, a ghetto sled by looks however on occasion could break into some high elevens which meant copius amounts of wheel spin when it was wearing street shoes - all to my merriment! I tell you all of that so I can answer the question about the "K": I realize more spin may not be wise however if the car delivers with signifcant torque increases making the power more "usable" or "accessable", then glory! Afterall, horsepower didn't move my Grand National, torque did. NOW, is that worth the increased cost and risk of the unknown, welllllllllll, I don't know. If nothing else, it appears that the A/C is going to mount up front rather than behind the motor like in B series (if I'm seeing what I think I'm seeing in the photo) then all the better for me in the blistering heat of the Sacramento Valley.
