Will I fit in a classic Mini?

I'm thinking about purchasing a classic Mini that is located some distance away. I also live some distance from the nearest population center so it's difficult to find one that I could try out for size. I am 6'4" tall and need to know if I will fit in a classic. I currently own an '08 Mini and I have no problem, but a classic is something else all together. Thanks for your thoughts.

No problem...classic interiors are sparse....at car shows when those extra tall folks say...."I CAN'T FIT IN THAT!"....I challenge them to get in my driver's seat (it does have a tilt seat with a standard "extension" on it.....I have not had one person who wasn't surprised and couldn't have driven the car.....without all the thick doors and padding and.....of a current car, the inside is remarkably big compared to the outside. Try it before you "give up on your classic mini"

There could be a problem. My drivers seat has an "extension" and is back as far as it can go and its tight for me at 5'9" tall. A 6'4" person could NOT drive my car.

It could be the interior layout or seats of my car, its a Japanese spec car. There are bins on the outer edges of the rear seats and my drivers seat won't go back past the bin on my side. Maybe the seat is non-standard?

Headroom is not a problem, it's the legs.

Find a classic British Car Show and ask people if you can sit in their vehicles!

I'm 6'10" and can drive mine pretty comfortably (can even fit the kids in the back seat.) Getting in and out is well.... not graceful

Saloons have all the space. Try doing a road trip in a P'up.

Yeah, a pickup is a different story. No chance for seat extensions in one of those! Mine was tight for me at 6'. My saloon is no problem. Room to spare.

I'm sorry but we need pictures of this. I'm a foot shorter than you and find the car comfortable. Must be crazy seeing you step out of the car!

But I guess the answer would be, how much space you expect to be in these cars. They are spacious for their size. But, they are still very small cars. So would you fit - yes, would it be easy to get into/out of - possibly, would driving be comfortable - maybe.

I guess the only thing you can do is try your hardest to find one locally to sit in.

I took a ride in my neighbor's MK1. I'm 6'4", 190 lbs. You're going to have your knees up higher than you're used to, but it's doable. I was more focused on how cool it was to be riding in a Mini than whether I was comfortable, though. My brother is the same height as me and says he won't fit in a Fiat 500 without his head sticking out the roof, Big Daddy Roth style.

And the best part of that one? I believe he was hunting down a fuel leak if memory serves me well. Note what's in his right hand...
