Gauges!

So I've got space for 3 2-1/16th inch gauges on my mini. I'm taking suggestions on what you guys think would be the best to invest in.

My top choices are:

Water Temp
Oil pressure
Volts

What else do yall think might be worth while on a carbed car?

I installed:
Water temp (electrical)
Oil Pressure (mechanical)
Oil Temperature (electrical)
Volt Meter (electrical)

Not sure how much value the Oil Temp gauge will bring, but I had Heritage drill the transmission housing to fit the sensor when they had the trans out. Another gauge I will be installing is engine runtime.

Do you have a tachometer? That's always a good investment, although I imagine you won't find one that will fit in your three-gauge cluster.

Good luck.

I have this dash right now with a speedo, tach, and a center one which is basically turn indicators and dummy temp and fuel gauge.

I was looking over the Defi website... I'm thinking two of the Temp gauges, and one Pressure gauge.

I'll use one temp gauge for water, one temp gauge for oil, and the pressure gauge for oil.

you can use the vent holes to some components when you do your stereo upgrade.

Yup.. that's what I've decided on. It's official. Now I just have to find out where I want to get them from. I really don't want to spend more than $50-$60 a gauge right now. But I want all electric full sweep gauges so... it looks like I'll be spending $80-$120 for some decent gauges.

Oh well. I've got an Oil Pressure gauge right now that is working so.. I guess that'll have to do for now.

What gauges are they, and what kind of price are you looking at?

Are they Mechanical or Electric, full sweep? Black face? Any and all details would be great. Please PM me.

My aux. gauge is a black face with white lettering, and a black bezel on the car right now. The cluster is black face with chrome bezel. That's kind of what I'd like. Something that matches that.

Here's a picture of my dash right now.

I'm attaching a picture of my AutoMeter Traditional gauges installed. I chose those gauges because they closely match the original gauges; black with chrome bezel. Only discernible difference is the needle color and no 'Smiths' emblem. Note that I will be replacing the fuel gauge with an hour meter to track engine operation. I got the set of gauges from Summit Racing, and were what I would consider inexpensive compared to other AutoMeter or VDO gauges.

Cheers,
Jeff

They are Phantoms.
I cant remember the details of each. The 4 digit number on the front of each box is the easiest way to check them on the AM site.

Those look good, but they aren't quite the style I'm going for.

Jeffm5150-
Your autometer gauges blend in nicely with the oval binnacle and OE speedo.
