1979 Rebuild - Getting close to Paint
My '79 Mini is now ready to have the primer sealed and then its time for paint. It has new doorskins, new outer sills, a new driver side inner sill, and new A-panels. A few other minor areas had some repair pieces welded in. It has been primed and sanded down multiple times and the finish sanding was done yesterday. Tomorrow it will have a sealer applied and the roof will be painted Snowberry White. The shell will be sprayed Island Blue on Tuesday and clearcoating will be done on Wednesday/Thursday.
I hope to see it on Tues night prior to the clearcoat. I have posted some pics of the shell and other parts on Photobucket.

I have attached a couple of pics here and will post some of the paint in progress....

Looking mighty fine Job and did you seal top of wings to scuttle and wings to front panel with a flexible joint sealer............as this stops paint from cracking there ........The traditional way is to LEAD LOAD the joints to make a solid jount..............
