New addition coming Wednesday

My new addition is being delivered this Wednesday! Badged a '68S, but alas, it is mostly not. Priced accordingly, so I am OK with that.

Stage 3 engine top to bottom bored to 1292, header and exhaust, straight-cut gearbox, hi-lo's and KYB's underneath, big brake kit, custom interior with autometer guage cluster, tach and Smiths speedo, among other goodies. Quick and very loud.

I am new to Classic Mini's, though I have owned a '74 TR6 for 13 years and of course my New MINI.

I could use some help with resources beyond, say, NAM and Mini-Mania. Perhaps some of you would be willing to share your top 5 parts sites and top 5 tips and technical sites. That would be really helpful to get me under way. I have a couple of shop and competition manuals on the way.

Thanks! I am really looking forward to being part of the Classic Mini community!

Sharp car, good luck with it. I'm new to the classic mini genre also. Let me know if i can be of any help. Previous owner of mine gave me a but load of resources, and a cd that is loaded with manuals , tech articles, etc... Would like to see some more pics once you get it. That engine bay looks clean enough to eat dinner off of.

Actually it popped up locally here in Mass. I have been lurking for some time and this one had all of what I was looking for or would have done if I could, at a price that was irresistable. Excellent seller who gave me all the time I needed to look the car over and do my research, to whom I am grateful. Sometimes we get lucky. Makes up for a very naive deal for my TR6 many years ago, which I fixed with time and more money....

Here's an interior shot. Not exactly factory....Lots of dials to look at when driving. Those are Corbeau touring seats.

OK, it got delivered yesterday....covered in salt and grime and grit and snow. 3 + hours of cleaning. Wet and cold. But here it is, safe and warm in the garage! Got to wait for snow to go away to go out and play.

did a little work on Jennifet today..........................

I managed to track down the orignal carb that came with swiftune 1380 wich I bought from a fellow club member..........

then I striped it down and gave it a good clean and polished top....................

and even cleaned and painted manifold....................

this is only a tempory as I'm saving up for a set of twin 1.5s from Nick swift (swiftune Ltd) and thats £500...........a few more extra hours work...............doh..........
