Spitfire- you got a video for it? They play it at Disney/ Epcot when they light up the big tunnel to the tree.

(I should clarify- I can only DEAL with one Christmas song.)

I say we all just keep on drinking the beer off of the wall!! my theory is that Apple just wants us to drink that beer.. goal oriented, yah know??
I really do not want to re read all of the posts on here so can someone clear up something for me? Who is in the funeral business? Is that you skillet??
did we ever decide on the name for this mini, could we comprimise and offer up Martha, The Great Pumpkin.
No one has figured out my song yet?
Skillet is in the funeral business AND hitman business... nice and neat little package, 'eh? Just a warning... don't anyone try to get his FREE car!
I do quite a bit of it and it is powerful stuff. I am working on getting my Lymphatic Drainage cert at this point. In fact my next course is in.........
Sarasota in March!!
Wishing all the best for Skillet, Apple and Martha's Mini
I have a old friend Like a grandma to me who is sweet and thoughtful, I told her i loved Minis, so she is driving her 1 owner classic down to me, i think she said it is a 1979, it pretty mint and low miles, she is a sweet old lady, but I have no room for it or interest in old minis.
If some one wants it please let me know I am in central Florida, If you pay shipping or come and get it, is yours.
Miles are under 40K, I would love to keep it but can't .. Please pm me it will be here by the end of the weekend.

and then complemented Apple for it in another thread on a different board:
"Kudos for Apple's automotive generosity; she just gave away a nice Classic Mini on another thread.
"

.Ok - my opinion only....give some respest to grandma Martha, she is up rooting her life, moving and getting rid of her car... all around the holidays. Just my opinion, this would be tough for anyone expecially for an elderly person.
If Apple is helping her get past this step of her life, Good for Apple... Skillet is a very patient man, it seems.
Let's remember it is the holidays, don't want to rush grandma and push her out this time of year just for her car!
we have plenty of popcorn and there are more bottles of beer (i'm taking #62) i think someone even got the keg... so let's just enjoy the crazyness.
We need to stay positive for Skillet!!!

After all, it is comfort for the waiting that is such a big drive for NAM.

Would also like to add kudos for ChubbyChecker with the generous contribution of 'matchbox' Mini's and mailing them to the faithful.
And the happiest of Holidays to all!!!
I only like ONE Christmas song but I don't know what it's called. Maybe someone can help... it goes like this-
BONG bong bong bong- BONG bong bong bong- BONG bong bong bong- BONG bong bong bong- BONG bong bong bong over and over and then it continues with crazy stuff and BONG--BONG--BONG--BONG in the background...
Anyone?

(I should clarify- I can only DEAL with one Christmas song.)

I like the Bowie Crosby duet, one of my favorites, but I the only one I'm aware of that they did was White Christmas.
I was not aware they did more then one! thanks for the info.
"One of the more surreal moments in pop music history took place Sept. 11, 1977, when the leading American pop star of the first half of the Twentieth Century met and performed with one of the more innovative rock 'n' rollers of the last half of the Century. Bing was in London on a concert tour and to tape his yearly TV Christmas special. It was Bing's idea that he should have as a guest on his TV show a young star. Someone suggested David Bowie. Bing had never heard of Bowie, but his kids had, and so an invitation was sent to the rock star. Bowie, as it turned out, was a secret fan of Der Bingle and jumped at the chance to perform with him.
Bing's idea was that he and Bowie would perform "The Little Drummer Boy" as a duet. Bowie felt the song did not showcase his voice very well, so the writers added "Peace on Earth," which suited Bowie's voice quite well. The two musical spokesmen of different generations met for the first time on the morning of the taping, rehearsed for an hour and finished their duet in only three takes. Bing was impressed with Bowie, and gave him his phone number at the end of the taping. Bing told an interviewer four days later that he considered Bowie "a clean cut kid and a real fine asset to the show. He sings well, has a great voice and reads lines well. He could be a good actor if he wanted."
Bing died a month later, and the public did not see their performance until after his death. The duet generated much interest, and was excerpted to become a perennial TV music video, a best-selling 45-rpm single and, eventually, a computer CD-ROM. Some viewed the joint performance of Bing and Bowie as a symbol of the end of the intergenerational wars of the 1960s and '70s. In 1999 TV Guide chose the duet as one of the 25 best musical television moments of the century (June 5 issue)."
very interesting reading...
Yes it is a beautiful song, I guess this was the only song they did together!
Shame Bing wasn't around to see his final work. He was a very talented man!
White Christmas was his most famous Christmas song, maybe that is what you were thinking!
thanks for the info.
