Yup, all it takes is someone play'n games with someone else to get things rolling!

I guess I am the only one that is truly annoyed by this gal! She said she had access to a Classic Mini and offered it up for free in this thread, and then gone.

I will not be happy until he gets his Classic Mini, and forever annoyed if he doesn't !

1. "When is Skillet supposed to get the Mini?" Your guess is as good as mine. At this point, it's been delayed until after Christmas...

2. "What's the hold up?" The hold up has been Martha had issues closing her house, hasn't arrived yet, has arrived but can't find her a flight out, don't want to take pictures with her arround, is staying until just before Christmas/maybe just after Christmas... She promises she'll send me pictures. When We're in wait mode at this point. So in the meantime, grab yourself a beer off the wall, call claims to the #, sit back and enjoy the party thats going on in here

I think some place is to freeze over before that happens.
The hold up might have been that this time of year that Grandma got ran over by a reindeer going home from our house last night. Sorry now I got that song stuck in my head.

skillet, I hope that Apple comes through for you on this, but after all this runaround, I'd be feeling pretty skeptical if I were you. You definitely deserve a beer.

I'll crack open a Guinness in your honor tonight my friend.

In the mean time, did anyone see the full moon last night? We were sort of having a storm here so I missed it completely!

Yeah, probably.

Skillet, you seem like a really cool dude, so you probably already know this but I will feel bad if I don't say something.

If she shows up with a car, you should count yourself as being an incredibly lucky person. I've thought this was bs from the moment I read the first post. I hope I'm wrong. I hope she proves me wrong, but the way she's acting is very suspicious... and either she's just incredibly flighty, or she's full of crap.

Don't give up faith Skillet, this is the Christmas Season and magic does happen this time of the year. There are many people out in this world that are flighty and highly disorganized and do not comprehend how that impacts others. I for one have not given up hope and if nothing more have enjoyed the experience of waiting with a new group of MINI and Mini lovers that I did not know before joining this tread. The Fat (Skinny, Old, and any other kind of) Lady has not yet sung. Patience Grasshopper.

Thanks for the posts. I have not given up hope yet. It is a really busy time of year for everyone (including me). I for one am enjoying the time we've gotten to spend together in here. I had no clue this other third of NAM was this much fun It's been forever since I've browsed the R53 forums...

Edit: WOOHOO!!!!! My 1,100 post!!!! I could not have done it without you guys. Ok maybe I could have, but it would've been a whole year

How long does it take to prove all of this is legit with ONE photo? When my grandmother was 85 she was in bed by 8, and no matter the time of year, I'm sure I could sneak in one photo and get it posted.

Going back to the picture thing:

All Apple would have to do is say "Hey Martha (that's her name, isn't it?), how about a picture of you and me by the car you are giving me so I can show all my friends?"

Nothing shady there!

Well I decided I'm not looking for the bright side just yet, as someone pointed out, (sorry forget who) it's only been 2 weeks, it's the holidays, Granny hasn't been here that long and umm well thats all I can think of but I'm certain theres more reasons.

So here we go:

Twas the night before Christmas
and all through the house
Skillet waits for his Mini
and not a mouse.

Do I hear groans? Okay if anyone cares to, the next verse is yours.
Skillet's stocking was hung by his chimney with care
With hopes that his classic would just soon appear
His wife was nestled all snug in their bed
while skillet scoured NAM,, Apple's promise in his head

Okay, who's next?? Sorry emu2swan, somehow I missed this one or I would have added to it sooner!!

Hasn't anyone drank #63,,, lord I am getting addicted to my beer on the wall nightcap.

Big Norm you haven't "partooked" in a while!! grin

Ok - my opinion only....give some respest to grandma Martha, she is up rooting her life, moving and getting rid of her car... all around the holidays. Just my opinion, this would be tough for anyone expecially for an elderly person.

If Apple is helping her get past this step of her life, Good for Apple... Skillet is a very patient man, it seems.

Let's remember it is the holidays, don't want to rush grandma and push her out this time of year just for her car!

we have plenty of popcorn and there are more bottles of beer (i'm taking #62) i think someone even got the keg... so let's just enjoy the crazyness.

We need to stay positive for Skillet!!!

Just stopping by for a bit... of course, not expecting to really learn anything new. Still waiting.

SO much decorating to do and basically everything somehow seems to be covered in red glitter! Amazing how that happens!

cabwy- Haven't dared to light a match with my teeth yet.

Funny, emu2swan had mentioned how thoughts of this place run through her mind... as it probably is the same for most of us.

So last night I watched "Step Brothers" with Will Ferrell and the other guy. I must have been in a silly mood or something. TBS had been playing "The Legend of Ricky Bobby" and then "Anchorman" was on after so it was like a marathon of insanity.

Anyway, in "Step Brothers" I noticed a MINI Convertible, a YODA T-shirt and then there was the younger successful Realtor brother of Will and his marketing motto was "Nice Nice Baby" (referring to his high school days when he did a rendition of "Ice Ice Baby" for a talent show). YUP! Full circle baby! If it hadn't been for this thread... well, I'm sure I still would have been laughing just as much... but I think it meant more because of it.

Random Gemini- I can't believe that you felt responsible enough that you had to break the news that this might not be real. Surely you can see that most of us are trying to BELIEVE in the unbelievable! Naughty.
BTW- I DID see the moon. It was crystal clear out and cold (well cold by my FL standards) and the sky was beautiful. I went out in my Flannel PJs (Lobsters dressed as Santas) and my heaviest coat and sat in my driveway. My a** was freezing on the concrete! I was looking for the meteors from Gemini even though the experts said the moon would be too bright to see much of anything. I thought of you when I went outside. I only saw one meteor @ about 3:10am. I found out yesterday that the moon was supposed to be huge... guess I missed that memo. Last night was too cloudy to see anything.

So what's all this hoopla about the girl not being qualified for working at Hooter's? Aren't they known for their exceptional "wings"? What... the girl can't carry a basket of wings? (Ok, I know... first thought the same thing and laughed about it.) I am happy to say that I have never been to Hooter's... don't like wings and don't care for "Hooters".

Question: Do others tend to look up the profile or galleries of people that post? I'm sure the answer is "yes" but I find myself wondering sometimes if certain people posting are male or female. Hard to tell by stage name.

Bye.

Free Classic Mini van (MB)

In the spirit of this (very entertaining) thread, I'm giving away a free Classic Mini to the first one to PM me.
I have 2 so if skillet sends me his address, I'll try to make sure he gets one before Christmas!
