Wanting to go back to Original seats

I have sport/racing seats in my 1982 Austin Mini 1000 and I am wanting to go back to seats (front and back) that are original like. Does anyone have any ideas?

The only idea I have is for you to let me know if you are selling the seats you have when you figure it out. Do you have any pics of your currentseats?

I might trade you mine. I have a '92 so it's not like I'm really worried about a "classic" older car - I just want seats that are comfy and safe. here's what I have now:

The seats are re-covered in vinyl, but you can get the original patterns from a place like Newton Commercial, or just go with a basic cloth or leatherette. One question though - what do you have in the rear now? Most people only swap out the front seats and leave the rear alone.

Well in MY car people are back there on a daily basis... Plus the back seat cushions weigh like 10 pounds tops.

I saved my back seat for my Daschund, she's the only one that can fit back there now. I installed buckets from an 08 Mitsubishi Eclipse, now I have almost no way to get in back. The ride is a helluva lot more enjoyable now though.

I have the old original grey cloth seats. There actually in very good condition. There in my attached garage since the swap, nice and warm and dry.

I hadn't considered selling them. Let me know if there of interest to you and I can email you some snaps. Also, I'm in Virginia. We'd have to figure out a reasonable S/H cost as well, if you decided you wanted them.

I also happen to have some seats available, they're not original Mini seats from what I can tell, but they work. Would need some refurbishing but I'd sell for $1 plus the cost of shipping and materials, yes $1. They are currently in my garage taking up valuable real estate.
