Finally got my seats reupholstered

Finally got my seats reupholstered which were gratiously sold to me by Brad Roselle from the Mini Mania board at shipping cost.
Much appreciated for that!

The seats were done by Luis Lara @ Aurora Upholstery in Aurora, IL.

I don't have a good picture of the rear seats yet, but those were done also.

Now they match the door panels I had done last year by the same guy.

Post a pic when you get the seats installed! I'd love to see the whole interior.

They look great so far! Love those seats!

I'm hoping to get them installed tonite without much hassle. Sometime in the car's previous lives someone installed and extra bit of sheet metal over the front half of the existing crossmember. I'm hoping that this was done just to provide a mounting place for the seats that they installed and that the rest of the 'member is in good shape so I can mount these seats.

You can see the extra metal in this pic:

Wow, B, now Maxfield is going to be jealous of Lucille.....Nice, very nice. Now, as soon as I get a brake cylinder and new fuel pump installed, maybe Max will take a ride out to see Don...

I've just been informed that the upholsterers full name is Luis Lara.
Don Luis is just like Mr. Luis but in spanish which is what we had been calling him.

And the seats are at least sitting in the car for now, I had to kind of improvise because some of the mounting points were suspiciously missing.
They'll be fine for now until I can replace the crossmember this winter. Just need some clevis pins to mount them up and probably a set of seat extenders. Will post pics tonite / tomorrow morning when I get them in officially.

Would you be willing to give a ball park figure to what this costs to have done? So people are funny about giving out prices so I thought I'd ask nicely.

I actually now own the car Norm had that interior made for. There's a small tear in one of the front seats and the back lower pad has a hole where one of the steel rods poked through. It's not that the seats were done poorly its just that the car was beat by the owner in between myself and norm. I kinda want to get these fixed so I was curious about what seats like this even cost to get done.

I'm curious what you paid to have them reupholstered as well... I did my own using a kit I bought form a UK lady, and the're definitely functional, but yours look fan-freakin-tastic. What did you pay to have the door cards done as well?
