Imagox as for white wing mirrors thier now Old English white.........but I do have a spare set somewhere if your interested and I will see how much to post to USA.............
LOL... my roof is OEW so that's fine. If you're interested in selling PM me with a price - in the States these go for about $150 a pair - too much for me to justify when I have a perfectly servicable pair of chrome ones on there now. I prefer the white ones though. Thanks!

Looking forward to seeing the interior. I bought my interior from Newton Commercial back in the early 90's when our exchange rate was much better, still pretty expensive, but worth it!

SWEET! Cant wait to see them installed. Question.. what are the lights you cut into the back valance? Did you do that for safety or just looks? They are cool, just never seen that done before.

Looks like Christmas came early for you this year. So all this will be installed before the weekend is finished, right?

Dood.. very nice. Love the molded carpets. Have fun with the headliner. I did the same exact thing as you about 8 years ago. Only difference is I redid my own front seat frames with all new material. Now if I can just get it back on the road I would be happy Trying to save my nickels for a new 1098 crank.
My carpets got messed up in storage and the back seat foam, a mouse got in the car and chewed up part of my new carpet and tunneled in the bottom seat. I love the red and grey you chose. Cant wait to see it all fitted.

The pocket cards, do they have like a pocket on them? I thought the corners had notches in them for the Mk1. also did you get the corner pieces for the doors? are they red or grey.. man those are just really cool. the door pockets are a bit tricky to get in.

It is lovely.

mk1leg, these snaps are sooo sweet. Shivers are going up and down my spine as I write.

I also did the carpeting in mine and found it to be quite easy to install, so if your reasonably careful, I don't think you'll have any problems with scratching the paint.

You might want to consider installing an insultor kit under the carpeting first. It will make the interior much more quiet, feel a little softer under foot, and add some class to the sound of your radio as well.

Good Luck and keep the updates coming, nice work!!!

On the front of Mk1 doors instead of inside? huh? did you take the pockets off? Can you show me your doors? 1700UK wow.. thats x2 for the US dollar.. I think I paid about 1200US in the early 90s but thats when the dollar was strong against the pound. I didn't get the premium carpets like you have either, thank goodness since mice chewed mine..Have any pieces installed yet?

At what point were the door pockets dropped? I thought they ran the entire life of the car.

Either way, this is going to look real good.

edit; Just re-read your comments about Mk1 Mk5 door cards/pockets. I get it now. The pockets are attached on later models, but were actually a part of the door in very early models.

Does that sound right now?
