i watched a couple of the video's that came up in the related section on the right.......so funny to hear that they were being sold new for 500pounds....

When I adjust for inflation and convert the currency, that is still $6,785.68 in 2007 dollars, or about £13,571 in 2007 GBP. Which is still cheap, but it helps to see it in today's dollars.

LMAO!!! just noticed how it gets submerged in rust preventing stuff... Doesnt seem to work very well!!!!

I wonder if that's why the modern shells produced by British Heritage rust so fast and so bad - because they don't get dipped any more? The pictures I've seen of modern replacement shells shows them all silver and shiny, not dipped black. Cool films - thanks for linking to them all!

Maybe we can dip them? or maybe they were made of lead paint...
