For some folks, they are like Lays potato chips.

This will be #2 that I currently own. It will be number 4 in the grand scheme of mini's I have owned (1986 Saloon, 2005 MCS, 1982 City E, and 1978 Pickup). Probably going to put the 1982 up for sale though. Its a fun little car, just need to get our savings back up. Shouldn't be too hard to sell on base though. There are always people wanting to take these little buggers back to the states.

Congrats plkbd,
A pickup... now we're talkin'. I was going to say all you need are rear bumpers, but you beat me to it. There's a UK based website just for minipickups... take a look at www.minipick-ups.com.

Dimini - link no worky?
MiniGene - I'm at RAF Mildenhall, near Cambridge. You see a mini on the lemon lot about every six months or so. Most of the time when people sell them, they sell quick, a lot of times the cars just change hands in the same shop, so they never make it to the lemon lot. Usually the ones on the lot are too new to take back though. If you ever do take a space A, shoot me a pm, and we'll see about meeting up.

PLKDB-That makes sense. I first became interested in Minis when I was stationed at Kadena AB in Japan. Rarely does an opening for my job (telecomm) in England show up on the listings, I think it is mostly contracted out.
If I do somehow by some crazy cosmic luck get stationed there in the near future we'll have to try to meet up. Space A ((
)) is out of the question, I did that once and will never do it again until I'm retired and don't have to burn up leave!
