All aluminum is anodized blue or chrome black.

 

Doesnt mean you cant get it annodized a different color! how about a nice neon green?

 

thats what I want to do, man that is gonna be one bad to the bone car... obviously you like speed but are you wanting a drag car or a road car?

The car is going to be Lamborghini Charme (light blue) very close to surf blue but a 3 stage paint. So the blue anodizing will go very nicely. Made some progress today with the front. Its all put together with the exception of a couple rose joints that did'nt make into the kit. But, no biggie I've got lots to do.

BTW its a road race/show car. No drag.

 

You make me wish I went with the motorcycle engine.

And some picts of the engine in the frame. Install was simple. This is a real quality kit everything in place. Just missing a couple of bolts that will be here this week then the test fit for the frame in the car will happen. The manifold is being made and the intercooler is on the way.




Your looking at a K20Z1 with BDL 70mm throttle Body/ BDL Vacuume spacer/ BDL Fuel rail with return. What you dont see is the Quaife LSD, Kpro and all the aeromotive filters pumps and the turbo....stay tuned.

Coming along nicely..... brakes are on, then the wheels should be ready Monday. Fitting of frame sometime next week (I hope) then should have some picts for you guys.

 

I looked pretty closely at the Z-cars build that MiniTec is assembling and I have to admit, the hardware is very impressive. Granted, I'm no engineer, but I am nonetheless quite impressed. As for unpacking the crate and "bolting up" this hardware... Sheesh, I certainly don't have the skill nor resources--definitely a job for the experienced and talented wrenches out there.

Mitemini, I forget, are you building this as a track car? Gawd, the 160hp yamaha-powered version that was recently written up in MiniWorld sounds like a riot-- Your's will be more than double that, right?

 

You know what it really isnt that hard.......I watched the build DVD prob. 30 times. But seriously.. it really wasnt as bad as I had thought it was going to be.

Yep figuring between 400-475bhp.

No track to much money in it for that just a fast show car!

 

What a build, stunning what you have done so far, it's really going to be a beast once finished.
