Holy God. Drive carefully with that beast - traction is definitely going to be an issue (you gotta love it).

Good God, when the VTEC and turbo both engage, you'll lose your fillings.

I was thinking the same. Get the first jolt at 3k, then secondary whiplash at 5200. And... it's not a torque steer monster. WOW!

Once you get the hang of this little beast, I want to fly out (where ever you are) and beg for a ride.

Frame is due in the 27th of Feb. I basically have everything here waiting to go in. Just have to fab up the intercooler once it gets here and put everything in.

Guys I have so many parts sitting around here its unbelievable! And I havent even scratched the surface of telling you the amount of parts and cool (rare) stuff going into this beast.

And anyone that wants a ride. You have to pay to get the seats cleaned when we are done .

Beefy.

I know after mine I found it a wee bit heavy. I really think if I were to do another conversion I'd do a z-cars motorcycle motor swap. Get the HP and not sacrifice on the weight.

As for bath vs blasting I have to say after hearing the horror stories from Minimad I'd totally do a bath if I had to strip one. I have heard that a base bath is just as effective, though save from know ing the diff between acids and bases I really do not know what that means.

Keep us posted!

acids are something like lemons or stomach acid. bases are things like milk and soap.

anyway- what BHP and torque are you expecting? you know what would be fun? DUAL TURBO!!!

This will be a rwd vehicle, right? 450 bhp to the front wheels would just mean you'd be chewing up more tire rather than actually getting a faster car.

RWD Vehicles generally get LESS traction then FWD, but he did say this engines going to be in the rear, so im assuming its RWD. thing is, with this much power on such a light car, youd probably be chewing up tires even if it was a AWD! <--Gotta love the smileys

Still the weight in cornering is different.

Now on mine as it is FWD I have to have a FIRM grip on the wheel if I want to get on the gas or I will be in a wall.

FWD Vtec conversions have lots of torque steer. FIRM grip on the wheel is not an overstatement.
