my civic and legacy looked like that this mornining. I measured
over 15" on some parts of my driveway due to the wind. street was
6" deep and not plowed... i helped literally numbers of neighbors this
morning pushing their cars out of their driveways only to find they get
stuck in the middle of the street and needed to push them back into
their driveway. :impatient

I'm still on my summers too, actually wasn't anywhere near as bad as I expected last night (3in no plows many roads I was first car to leave tracks) only got stuck on one hill, let it roll back knock snow out of the wells, kicked up the slush I created and managed to get going again.
Today was the most people I've ever seen in my neighbor hood, I was just begining to think the houses were abandoned and then all these pople pull out there snow blowers while I'm shoveling Warming up on NAM before I go continue digging.

3 hours of shovelling replaced my need to work out, still can't feel my toes, and my shoulders are a bit tense but it really wasn't that bad just took forever, Deep and wet up here to the north.

I had to run up to Wilmette to pick up something last night from downtown around 10:30p (a wife-induced errand of course), and the MINI was fantastic. There wasn't much snow then, just the ice and sleet, but I was pretty impressed. I just had a set of Pirelli snow sports put on my stock R91 wheels, and the car was extremely stable. The Pirelli's are much quieter than the runflats, and with the LSD and DSC (and the heated seats ) I felt pretty confident in the crappy weather.
I have a Volvo V70R with AWD, and when I returned from the little jaunt my wife noticed which car I took: "You took the MINI up there? How was it?" I said it was a great little winter car, and asked her if there was anything else she needed me to go out and get.

Buy yourself some real snow tires and driving in the snow becomes a very enjoyable thing. Just be careful of the other guy out there because so many just don't have the foggiest idea how to drive in the snow. And there are idiots out there with blading tires sliding out of control, wondering why their AWD SUV keeps getting stuck.
Can't wait for the snow to fly here in the Shire so I can go have some fun.
