Knauz or Patrick for warranty service?
Knauz or Patrick for warranty service?
Hey guys looking to find out which is a better place for customer service and repair work quality? Both are about the same distance for me.
I need to have the Throw out bearing and fly wheel replaced as they are rattling really bad. The rattle under the dash needs attention and I need the computer flashed. Does anyone have the link to the service anouncements for the dash rattle and the throw out bearing? Or can explain how I can search for them myself.
Thanks

That is the Dash one also. Anyone have suggestions on which place is better for service?

We went to Knauz because the other two Chic dealers used only answering machines without return calls and I hate playing phone tag
. Knauz always answered the phone and were knowledgable. When we got there , they were very professional and I would recomend them.

Try Patrick! We have the parts in stock for what you need. Can have it done for you ASAP, as well.
Sorry about the phone issue, try us again, we have 2 service writers now that can answer your call; Matt and Blake.

Do you have service loaners?
Yes, call Matt or Blake and tell them what you need. At the same time ask if we have any available; I'm sure that we do.

I go to Knauz, never been to Patrick. I've literally got a book of warranty repairs done by them and as soon as I can get scheduled for service again I plan on having even more done (oil pan, flywheel/throwout bearing, not shifting smoothly between 27-3500RPM, and even more I have a list in another thread). I've had good experiance with Ceaser working on my MINI. besides after the work is done I do a little tour on Sheridan to make sure everything is in good order
I think I'm done with Patrick. I bought my car there, but I think that service has gone downhill since then. I tried calling on Tuesday, went to voicemail. I've left messages in the past, never returned. I called Knauz, went into the hold queue for 30 seconds, then someone picked up. I'm also equidistant from both, so I'm going to try Knauz for a while.
Well I actually went to Knauz also do to not being able to get anyone on the phone at patrick. Does anyone know of a code link to see what has been done to my car in the past? The service sheet they gave just has service codes on it.
Sorry to hear that. It pains me that you guys can't get through on the phone. I told Matt about it, so hopefully the phone issue will not be an issue in the future.

Knauz is better
Went to Knauz for warranty service. Dropped off the car and picked up a loaner pre-arranged after calling in for the appointment. Patrick never had a loaner program as far as I know back from 2002 when I started going there. If they did, they never communicated it well.
Everytime I had to go to Patrick, I felt like a 2nd class citizen. 4 service writers for BMW's won't help me but they stand around and tell me that the other guy will take care of you.
When I pulled my car up to the Knauz service, every service writer was willing and waiting to serve any car regardless of make. Got in quickly, was well cared for, picked my loaner from Enterprise that Knauz tells me many times that they will cover the rental cost.
Think that there's a difference in perception and customer satisfaction?
Patrick has a bit more work to get up to the Knauz standards.

I've had many bad experiences at dealerships for warranty service, but after going to Knauz now for my past two services, I don't think I'll try any of the other dealerships in the area. Someone at Knauz knows how to train employees - It's almost as if they're all ex Nordstrom people. Everyone I've ever talked to there has treated me extremely well. Adam (one of their SA's) is very good at what he does, as is Caesar, one of their MINI techs.
I had sergio and he was very nice. Ceaser did the work to the car. Changed the flywheel and throw out bearing. Fixed the Dash for the rattle and flashed the computer. Car runs great and is quiet again. Only bad thing was I left my sunglasses in the rental car which have now disappeared.
glad to hear bill jacobs is not an option and IMO should NEVER ever be. i have my 1st service at bill jacobs coz thats where i bought my mini but was disppointed by the service. NEVER again. emailed patrick next and blake was very helpful. naturally il have my warranty serviced at patrick from now on.
Thanks for sharing.
