So I am thinking of doing the St. Louis to Indi leg. But I have a feeling that I am going to be the only one out there. Has anyone else thought of doing this yet?

 

You will not be the only one. I signed up for this leg and I can't wait. I really hope that this is a big event. I have met up with the Power Tour and it is just fun.

I will come up with a list of things to do on the way, Cozy Dog is on the way (Springfield) and I have wanted to go there for the longest time.

 

Thinking about it, but need more info. Where are the good sites for info and to sign up? Think I'd drive down the night before too.

 

If you go to www.minitakesthestates.com you can sign up for whatever leg you want to do. I guess it's still early for people to sign up.

I wish they were coming up near Chicago. Would be a fun time to catch them in St. Louis, but not sure if I have the time to take off from work.

 

I've registered for the STL to IND leg, too. Maybe we could take Old 66 down to St. Louis?

 

I too will be tagging along to Indy, but I signed up for the Nashville to St. Louis leg so I could take advantage of the St. Louis events ( I hope). We will see what happens. Wonder why they don't have any events planned in Indy ??

 

I have also signed up for this leg. I may already be in St. Louis visiting friends, but am planning on the nights festivities near Busch Stadium. I've talked to the guy at miniusa who is organizing this. He's trying to arrange plans to have us take a lap at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. I think it would be cool if all of us Chicago Mini's could travel together.

I love the Route 66 idea, who's going to plan that? In Indy we are going to get to DRIVE OUR CARS ONE LAP AT INDY RACEWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a classic hotel with views of the Arch and revolving roof top dining room. Plus it's half the cost of the Westin and right around the corner, we all love corners.

 

I'm waiting to see what the CMMC will be doing... but I'm really interested in doing the STL -> INDY leg. A trip down Rt 66 is a great idea!

I'd seriously like to do Leg 10 as well. Really just have to clear it with the wife, but I don't think it'll be a big problem. You know what I'd REALLY REALLY Love? If at the end of the leg, the fine fine Hulman/George Family would open up the racetrack as the destination stop & we could take a spin around the track. I'd even pony up cash to drive the track!! Gabe, can you make this dream come true?!

I have family in Nashville and St. louis, so I'm really kickin the idea of doing days 9 and 10 and make a nice long 3 day trip of it.

I've been in contact with the Ad firm & MINIUSA about the St Louis portion of MINI Takes the States & they have lots planned in our fair city. On Tuesday Aug 29 there will be a baseball rallye before the Cards game (I know) it's not the Cubbies. Free food, beer, soft drinks & jumbo tron tvs to watch the game. And if you're lucky you may win a ticket to the game or I'll be glad to take them off your hands On Wednesday morning a group picture is planned under the ARCH with breakfast served nearby. BUT YOU MUST REGISTER TO GET AN ARMBAND INTO THE EVENTS!!!!!!

So get a big group together & come visit St Louis I hope to see you all there

I'm in for a trip down 66 to St. Louis. Bought a bleacher seat to the game, headed to Indy, and will bail in Cincy to see my family. Where is the trip down 66 meeting up?

 

Just curious....is this being arranged for just the Chicago club or all those registered for MTTS? Please don't make us turn green (or should I say BRG) with envy.
