2005 Mini S Moonroof issues

Hello,
Having problems closing the moonroof all of the way. It will close about 80 percent of the way, and then it stops and reopens about 4 more inches. I do not see or hear any obvious problems.
Please help,
Scot

I am now having more issues with the moonroof. When the moonroof gets to the last 8 inches it starts to bind and the window makes a really bad noise. You can see the window shift to one side. The motor seems to be working fine but could the motor be the problem since it will not close it all the way? I have lubricated it with the white lithium grease and that did not make a difference.
I have taken the motor switch area apart to make the the motor viewable. The noise inside the motor area seems to be coming from the passenger side of the motor inside the tubes. I am assuming the 4 tubes hold the cables that push/pull the window.Any ideas or thoughts would be great.
Thanks,
Scot

When mine starts doing that I lubricate the tracks where the sunroof rides along..
I use a few toothpicks to spread a very small amount of grease, usually once a year or so..
