When you go to Alaska keep an eye or two out for MINIs and let us know if you spot any.

I agree... This is the first winter my MCS has seen. I'll feel better once I know how it handles in the snow. Nothing like first hand experience.

Mmmm.....snow. And 6-inches of it. And 3 days ago it was over 60 degrees out!?! Talk about weird weather. My MCS had her second snow experience yesterday, and she is much happier with this set of snow boots on. She now handles the snow like a completely different car. I can look forward to fun in the snow as opposed to dreading it now.

Anyone else with stories in the snow? I'm really curious to hear how the MC handles in Chicago snow. Thanks!

I have a story... The car handles like a charm in the snow, even though I have Runflats:p

However, I couldnt get my windows down at all for a 45 minute drive with the heat on full blast, managed to get the sun roof open after defrosting for a while, but even when I got home I still couldnt get drivers side window down, managed to get the passenger window down....

stupid 6°F weather !!!$@%^@$^

(i like to drive in the winter with the heat full blast and the windows and sunroof open, dont ask)

hmmm...you're not one of those guys who walks around in kahki shorts in 15F weather?

I have a garage in Chicago proper. And although the alleys were not shoveled, my Bella, with run flats and all season tires, did beautifully!

You are not kidding about a good car wash. My MINI is in the worst shape I have ever let her get into, it hurts just to look at. It would be nice to have some temps that water didn't freeze the second it hit the car.

I was Wonderin' if some fellow Chicago popsicles would chime in about the cold! I must be nuts, planning to chauffeur the Brownie troop to the United Center tonight... Too late to chicken out now hehehe -

Reading the posts, I caught DotScott's Car's name, and I just love it!

thanks, now get back to work it's only 3:15,
Tatt

All I have to say is thermal underwear, layers, and Kleenex. Maybe some hot chocolate for the walk to the car afterward.

I am definitely going to be taking some pictures of my dirty MINI tomorrow, it is is just too gross. The boot is no longer Indi Blue, it is now a shade of salty white, and there is crust forming around the edges of the black fender trim.

Just thinking about it gets me feeling bad for poor Norah. She deserves a bath...

I live 30 minutes from work but I no longer worry about driving in the snow. I love the cooper in the snow. Better than my last car, a Grand Am.

But I must say I look forward to the spring so I can actually keep my car clean.
