Big Problems

In the last 24 hours my new(900 miles)r56 has had this happen.
1. Brake light and warning light is on
2. Air bag failure light came on(about every 4 minutes)
3. Traction and abs light come on
4. lost all interior lights
5. door ajar light comes on
6. Radio turns on and off and fades in and out(light)
About the only thing still working is the engine.
Dealer reprogramed the fob, lasted about 5 hours and same thing again,
car back at dealer again.
Said they never had this problem before and they are going to talk to mini monday.
See what happens

Hmmm sounds almost like a few of the 1st gens had with bad/wrongly installed wiring harnesses or the equivalent of the BC1 issue. Assuming of course the warning lights are falses. Which dealer? Who's you're SA?

Thanks for your reply. The dealer is Patrick Mini of Schaumburg, Illinois and my SA is Blake (didn't get his last name). This happened with both keys.

Could be something as simple as a faulty ground!

That sucks though. We had numerous electrical gremlins with the '04 Coop and only kept it 1 year. In the shop 11 times while we had it. Good luck and post up any info you get so others know what to watch/check for.
