Windy City BMW CCA - Car Control Clinic - 7/14

Windy City BMW CCA is holding a Car Control Clinic on July 14. Barbara and I are both signed up

I'm not certain, but I think you have to be a Windy City member to attend. Cost is $45 per person. The registration application was in the Breeze.

http://www.windycitybmw.com/Calendar...ails.aspx?Id=8

Is anyone else attending?

I may have to do this again. It was SUPER fun. Hmmm, Wonder if I can snag mom's 540i... If not the MINI will be just as much fun.

Yes, all weekend in Madison, WI. It is actually two art fairs on the same dates held next to each other. The Madison Art Fair On the Square is open to all artists nation wide. The Madison Art Fair Off the Square is only open to Wisconsin artists. These are nationally recognized shows and are among the best in the country. Both are July 14 & 15, 2007. The Fair On the Square is held around the capitol building. The Off the Square extends from the capitol square towards Monona Terrace (the Frank Lloyd Wright Convention Center on lake Monona). There is also a farmer's market on saturday morning. My husband and I will be showing in the Fair Off the Square on the causeway to Monona Terrace. He is a blacksmith and I do art inspired by American Indian art - brightly colored horses painted (dyed) on leather items (purses, coats, boxes, etc) with beadwork. I believe both shows have websites. I hope to see you there - even if I'd rather be motoring!

Very cool! We'll try and make it up that weekend. My wife and go up several times per year for the farmers market (yes - it's a drive - but we really like Madison).

From what I have found the nuts were torqued but may have been the wrong size. Here are two clips more in line with this thread.

Synchronized Driving!!!! Cool!!! I say we form a team for the Olympics. While my driving isn't good, my deck work is fantastic!

Paul, I will be there as I am one of the in car instructors for Windy City BMW's Car Control Clinic. I'll be sure and say hi. Not sure what car I will take to play in while you are in class.

For anyone else that was thinking about it I checked and the school is full with 6 on the waiting list. However, if CMMC has enough folks interested the person that runs the school could possibly put one on for us. He has done them for the Miata club in the past in addtion to Windy City BMWCCA.

Hi Jim, I'm glad you found my wife! Sorry we weren't able to chat. Next time!

Both Barbara and I had a great time at the CCC. It's a was a great way to push our cars to their limits in a controlled (and safe) environment. The parking lot was divided into several courses. There was a figure-8, a skid pad, a don't hit the lawyers kid obstacle, and a slalom. We were each paired with an instructor who split their time between an A and B group. At the end of the day, the different courses were tied together and an auto-x track was configured.

A ton of pictures were taken and I'm sure they'll be up on the Windy City site soon.
