Hey...I'm new here and would like to know where the Auto-X takes place? Where can I find more information about the requirements for the driver and car? I'm considering both Aug and Sept dates.

AutoX Driver's School this Saturday! It would be great to have another Mini with me!

Saturday will be a great opportunity to get some much needed seat time and learn from one of the best drivers in the area. You will get multiple runs and one-on-one instruction both in the class room and on coarse.

The Drivers School on Sept 11 is open to everyone. Cost will be $40 for members. $50 for nonmembers. If you are running the school on Saturday, you will receive a $10 discount for Sundays event.

About Geauga Lake. It's big. Bigger than Northfield Park. Smooth, flat, and clean. Lots of food and shopping within walking distance. I've run there already and it should make for a lot of new courses and driving challenges. See the map on autox.net for event layouts. Our after event dinner and drinks will be next door at BW3's.

Yes, its more expensive than I remember from last fall. I have never driven at this location, but learning from these enthusiasts is great fun and shows off the best attributes of the MINI.

There is another event in July as well.

The driver education events are much more laid back and give you the opportunity to learn from experienced drivers in your car - as a driver or passenger.

 

FYI - If you are planning to go, be advised they changed the location.

It is now Geauga Lake, a much better track location.

Too bad the weather looks like crap!
