Only the seller - Shoe....

Check out that thread....there's another link in that too, with a discussion about engine dampers...

it's not that expensive, so if it can't damp, I won't be so distressed - it can't be worse than the stock one!! :p

I was speaking to a friend overseas about this and he asked, does your MINI have to be Australian spec for this damper to work?

Or can you cook the damper on the engine of a UK spec MINI too?

Yes, he does have it … I was twiddling some bolts on it last weekend.

I just assumed he bought it with you though Kev, so I didn't even bother asking about that.

Tiaan doesn't have net access at home atm AFAIK.

Kevin, I sent you an e-mail, didn't I?

I recall it was whilst I was on vacation but perhaps I was mistaken.

Btw I did have a few days of downtime in getting my e-mail transferred when I moved so please contact me if you would like to purchase one.

Thanks and apologies for the miscommunication.

Should work on all specs. There seems to be a difference in the sheet metal for some 02/early 03 builds...but if you have a later build it should be fine.

Yup...got mine. Still don't have the interweb at home yet...

Thanks for that Shoe - you were a pleasure to deal with...

Still waiting for the smashing monkeys at BMW to finish inflicting more damage on my car.

After that I'll throw it on...

NB: They are refusing to replace my burst engine mount because it 'wasn't actually leaking when they checked it'. Nevermind the damper fluid all through my engine bay.

aergh!! BMW make me want to get violent.

Pleasure dealing with you too Tiaan....

Be firm with BMW. Tell them that others have had their mounts replaced under warranty as well! They tried to pull a fast one on me by saying I had the pulley installed...but I stood my ground and they replaced it at no cost to me.

Others? I had the same mount replaced under warranty in March! This is the 'new' one!!

They tried the pulley garbage on me, and I pointed out my car had less power than a JCW...
