I was just wondering if we might need to set up some kind of contact system for folks planning to meet and motor to Memphis (like that alliteration?) on Saturday? It seems like the freaky weather is going to continue, and they've gone from calling for a couple inches overnight and tomorrow to maybe more than 8" by tomorrow. Considering that Tuesday they were calling for roughly 2-3" in Dardanelle and we got over 13," I'm a little skeptical.
So, should we get numbers ready for a calling tree? What is the policy of the driving school hosting the event at War Memorial? Obviously if the roads are truly bad, we won't go, but it'd be nice to be able to get the word out on whether we're going or not if the roads are 'iffy.'

Good point RVExotics! I've emailed those that have told me they are going. If you want to leave your phone numbers that's up to you; just remember everyone in the world will have it. In my email I have given you my phone number and asked you send me a number that I would be able to contact you from.
If you plan on going and did not receive an email from me that means I'm not aware you plan on going. Email me and let me know and give me a number I'll be able to contact you at in case plans change.
If plans do not change, which I suspect they won't, I will NOT call. I will ONLY contact you if plans do change.

Hi
I received an email from Nelson Santos and they are postponing the driving school. A new date will be announced soon.
See yas for the run to Memphis.

I'm going to meet every body at the Petrol Truck stop ay the Galoway Exit on I 40. I don't know where the rest of you are meeting. Call o email Carrie, I think she has a plan. I'm checking the road conditions as we speak. Channel 7 says the roads are icy between Brinkley and Memphis. I tried to call Todd at Roadshow and he's off until Tues. and no operator was at work yet, so will try in little bit. Later

Hey, I just talked to Brett at Roadshow. He said there is a bit of slippery stuff on bridges, but other than that he doesn't know of any trouble spots. He said Germantown Pwy is fine. High is supposed to get to 35 or so, but the sun is out and he said that the ice is melting already. I think we'll be OK by this afternoon.
See everybody later. Jim

I'll give Carrie a call here in a little bit and see what's happening. Just in case, what time will you be at Galloway? That might be more direct for us anyway.
Something I just thought of is radios. We're going to bring both of ours, even though we'll be in the same car. So if someone is there who doesn't have one, we'll have one to spare. I recommend anyone who has a pair but is driving only one car do the same.

Okay, so we're meeting at 2 at Mayflower and then heading to Galloway, then to Memphis. I'm saying this in case someone out there happens to read this and decides he/she wants to go.
