I haven't heard anything from Jeff recently, but I was wondering if any of the AMOK'ers were making the exodus to Roadshow tomorrow. Mark and I will be there looking to trade in Nic on an '07 MCS Will anyone else be there?

 

I won't be going b/c I'll be heading up that way on Feb 2nd. Stormie has basketball games there that day so we'll stop by Roadshow and do some shopping that day as well.

I haven't heard anything about his Aunt's MINI coming in either.

Ah, well tell Stormie good luck on the games! Maybe I'll have the 'new' Nicodemus (and be able to drive it - stick!) for the 19th motor and coffee. By the way, is someone going to make an official post about that?

Back to the question, I think the treck was canceled because of lack of info on the aunt's mini. I won't be there this weekend - my service checkup will be in a couple more weeks. I am actually taking Stella off road tomorrow- getting back to the rally car roots! We are going camping & rock climbing at Horseshoe Canyon, north of Jasper.

 

Yeah, it's been nagging me for a while, especially after having joined NAM and reading all about both cars. I don't dislike the MC at all. It's a great car with far more preformance than just any other small green car out there. Mark didn't want a car for performance though, he wanted a nice car with good fuel economy. I've decided that I want a sporty car that ALSO has great fuel economy..hence the reason I'm most likely going to go ahead and learn to drive a stick. Besides, I've yet to see anyone say they have a stick MINI and hate having to shift!

And besides, I'm not really *loosing* Nicodemus, I'm just giving him a bit of an upgrade

Let me know how that trip goes. Mark and I both really like outdoor activities and we're always looking for places within driving distance to go explore...especially places with potentially high rattlesnake populations.

 

I'll be going back to roadshow in a few weeks for reasons mentioned in my "Toro's check up" thread, still waiting to hear from Todd about parts. I learned something I'll pass on. If you want your wiper blades changed while getting service, you have to ask or they won't do it. Todd said he can't just do it or ask if you need it done, because it's upselling the warranty. I thought the wipers were part of the maintenance agreement, not the warranty.. but I'll do whatever Todd says to get the job done, lol
